For us, I think it's mostly the Canadian dollar. Our DRM rate is about $560/night and for 9 nights that's super steep. We are seeing GP for about $260/night. I'm not ruling anything out though. Our airfare is booked & paid for...we are going lo Nikki
For us thru Orbitz and five nights TTR is about $2300, and GP is about $1900. I dint even see Either Desire resorts as an option on Orbitz, so I can't compare. Time frame is 10/25-10/30. Airfare included in price.
We are dealing with a totally paid trip sept 30th-Oct 8th..So now we are waiting on travel site to get formal letter from Temptation and start dealing with what they will do..As Nikki said flights are paid for So will we see where we can transfer hotels too..
Desire does show to be booked if you look direct at their site. But through the Premier site there is lots of availability. So I am wondering if they are just keeping availability for premier members at this time. Either way, I'm glad I went ahead and booked yesterday.
Just booked GP for the same days 2-8th. Got it for basically exact same price $1100. For 6 nights. For those interested in booking use your mobile phone for bookit dot com and save 5% off price (rebate shows at checkout) as well as using coupon code of PAYPAL40 for an additional $40 off. Total savings of ~$100 they also have the option of paying $1 down today and they will split your payments up over the next 4 months if you need that option. Hope to see some of you there and hope the group can get back together at TTR next year. We are still holding into our TTR reservation just I case they delay construction. (We can hope...right...).
We changed our trip to Desire RM. We cannot wait!!! I'm sure GP will be fun. I just felt like the time was right for us to try Desire!
Takeover in Puerta Vallarta We are thinking of going to a takeover in Puerta Vallarta from Oct. 15th to 22nd. Link Below. We have heard it was good last year. If they fill up DRM, we might consider going there. That could be a great party, but it sounds like it is selling out. FYI, we just got back from the big lifestyle cruise (MSC Divina) with 2,500 naughty people to the caribbean. I'm considering having some wristbands made to help us displaced TTR people identify each other. Just like the CCC ones, I can sell and ship them for $2 each. They say "Temptation REFUGEE" on them. Before I make them, does anyone have any interest? Old enough to know better, too young to care
Someone else might pipe up saying that they are interested but we all know each other. Plus we all have orange CCC bands. We will likely do something for our group (we normally do octoberbreast bracelets) but until we know who is going where we really don't know.
