It looks like we'll need to find a new place to go for this coming New Years Eve, as announcements are saying TTR will close this fall for about 10 months for renovations. Some suggestions so far: - Desire (RM or Pearl) - Hedo - Vegas - Other?? Would love to hear from our faithful NYE repeaters what their thoughts are on where to go this year. -Rob and Lisa
Say isn't so my friend We are headed to Hedo in July, we will let you know what we think. Another option is key west, but that would be much tamer.
Vegas is COLD that time of year! Ok, not COLD, but not tropical by any means. Made that mistake last year!
Rob and Lisa, I found this tonight because we are now looking for a new place.... :-( Keep us informed we would love to join you guys. We will be leaving New York City on Dec. 26th to go some where warm through the New Year... We are not to big on Vegas..... Hope to ring in the New Year again with you two! Mel and Daron
The keys are dying, I hate to say it but it is becoming to family orianted and corporate. all of the clothing optional (non gay) hotels have changed hands and no longer offer clothing optional. Although a house rental could be very fun.
What about Costa Rica? Hedo might be already all booked up and would need to contact a Travel agent to do a block booking & organise transfers there. but is very much also into refurb at the mo.
I've heard the Keys are switching crowd types as well. We would need a huge house to accommodate the TTR people... Quite a few people seem to think the golden parnesses would be an option. Topless optional, night club for dancing...just need the TTR people.
Mel and Daron, We will *of course* keep you informed , you guys are awesome. That's part of the problem with this whole year long shutdown - the TTR Magic isn't the place, it's the people. BUT, the place made it affordable and easy for all these terrific people to get together more easily. Agree with CNPARDA, it would have to be a Kennedy Compound of a house LoL! GP et al could be a solid option, especially if we - the TTR New Years crew - effectively take it over. We really don't want to think about a NYE without these people, and we're just bummed because what made TTR so perfect is really hard to find anywhere else. We'll figure it out
