I agree with you. Nothing like seeing Jose's big grin and a Hola senor or Eme's gold capped grin as he brings you your favourite beverage it's like coming home. And I'm sure the staff appreciates the regulars as well, when they try to get a game going they know there will be a few newbies joining cause it's their first time, a lot of gawkers who just want to watch and then there are those of us whose wives will volunteer us all in the hopes of getting a too small Coco Bongo t-shirt and some beads. And I get there has to be some form of discipline or consequences but I also think long time employees deserve a little consideration. Now if the guy constantly does something yeah let him go I can understand if it's the first time though suspend him for a while with out pay. And if posting that I'll miss these people cause they do help make my vacation makes me shallow or selfish than give me the crown I'll wear it with pride.
We absolutely will miss Jose and Sarah and hope that both of their dismissals will be overturned. Nothing beats walking through the door and feeling like you are home with a bunch of staff remembering you. We consider some of the staff great friends and it truly is a loss for us if they aren't there. We keep in contact with them throughout the year and look forward to seeing them on each trip. Here's hoping we see Jose and Sarah back at Temptation!!!
WOW! It amazes me how people can read a paragraph and see so many negatives, and not even understand what the hell is being said! I will try and be more clear about what my rant is about! Whenever a popular staff member is let go, some people say " we are never coming back, or we will just have to spend our vacation money elsewhere". It's the same thing for 15 years! Do I miss the great staff members? YES Would I even know Sarah 69 if Chinos, Omar, Lalo, etc. where still at the resort? who knows! Did I have favorite bartenders? YES Life goes on, but over 15 years, the resort does it's best to hire employees that will bust there ass to make our vacations special! We have seen many come and go, Do I like it? HELL NO! But saying your never coming back because of it, to me is shallow/selfish. If we thought like that, then we sure as hell wouldn't have come back after Chinos was let go! I hope this makes my rant a little more clear!
