I know you can't change or cater to everyone. Just putting it out there that we are leaving early morning on the 16th. Would love to see men's dress shirt night between the 8th and 15th. Can't blame a girl for trying .. Xxoo xxoo
OK, time to get this show on the road! It's hard to top the resort themes on Thursday (lingerie), Friday (White Night), and Saturday (Red Dress), but if enough people are willing perhaps we can add our own twist to one or more of them? For example, on lingerie Night we might choose to sprinkle in a Mardi gras theme by adding feather masks and beads?! Another twist could be 'Wedgie' ladies in corsets or maybe baby dolls? On Friday and Saturday nights we have found that the ladies just enjoy wearing their drop dead sexiest outfits.....and I haven't heard one guy complain about that yet! If anyone has some alternative ideas just toss them out there to be discussed! Some of the most successful theme nights from the past would have to be: Neon/Glow/Rave Night - This could be done best on either Rockstar night (Tuesday) or on Monday when there is no resort dress code. Men's Dress Shirt Night - A Sunday when the resort dress code is 'comfortable and casual' would be ideal or maybe on Monday when it is 'as you wish'. BDSM meets sexy 911 - This theme works very well on a Wednesday when the resort theme is BDSM. It is very easy to integrate the two with whips, crops, cuffs and role playing. Sheer Night - Can be easily integrated into just about any theme night. It's just more fun when there is a large number of participants. Does anyone have any ideas for daytime pool themes? Last year we did a PINK-OUT DAY and it was a lot of fun! We had quite a respectable turnout and took group photos on the beach! Throw your ideas and wishes out there and we'll see where it leads!
Let's get some thoughts on doing a Room Crawl too! We liked doing it on lingerie Night because you can accomplish most of the Crawl while the fashion show and the lingerie Casino take place and not miss much of the action at Paty'Os. Plus it's also quite entertaining to run around the resort in the dark while wearing your undies! Last year we met outside the door of the Embarcadero near Paty'Os around 8:45 in an attempt to head out by 9pm. This seemed to work very well. We were back in Paty'Os by about 10:45. We had our room order all laid out in advance and sent the room sponsors out early in order to get prepared for visitors. We tried to limit times in each room to around 15-20 minutes, but if you're having fun why limit yourself?! We kept our room number limited to 5 due to time and (of course) the quantity of shots consumed! As far as coming up with a theme, it just helps make each room unique and adds to the festive atmosphere. I think the most important thing is to have music and some sort of party decorations. Nothing too extravagant is necessary. Last year we did a 'bathroom selfie' in one of the rooms! We were thinking that it might workout better doing it in the CO-ED area of the bathroom outside of Paty'Os near the Lobby this year. We would do that midway through the crawl. There are about 30 ounces in a liter, so if you are doing a 2 ounce mixed shot that would take care of 15 people. In October we only had about 18 people, but June could reach epic numbers! Good thing alcohol is cheaper in Mexico AND there is a liquor store right across the street! LOL The Crawl was a great ice-breaker and conversation starter. There were people that saw us running around the resort say "What the hell are you all up to??" When we told them some asked if they could join in! One final thought is that we found it really cool to see the different types of rooms that are available throughout the resort! They all may be red and white, but there are some unique benefits to be seen in some! Feel free to message me if there are any other questions on your mind! Party on Wedgies! -Joe- For those that are unsure what a 'Room Crawl' is, here is a basic definition: A smaller scale version of a bar crawl, in which people move through a building consuming one drink in each room. In a well organized room crawl, each room will have a theme, with appropriate decorations, music and choice of drinks. The 'room sponsor' is asked to supply a shot of their choice to each visitor. The goal is to have sponsors from a variety of unique rooms so that people could see the different ones available at the resort.
What are the official dates of the wedgies again?? We are officially BOOKED and will be there through 10/12!!! Woop Woop Woop!!!!
AWESOME! Looks like you will be 'Wedgies' for 2 nights!! I'm thinking that Monday night Oct 10 is likely going to be Men's Dress Shirt Night (one button rule). Tuesday night Oct 11 is likely going to Rock Star Night with a Neon/Glow/Rave Twist......think 'Cyndi Lauper, Go-Gos, Flock of Seagulls, neon mohawks............ an 80's party in the valley! Fer sure, fer sure! We arrive on Friday the 7th. Looking sooooo forward to partying with you guys again!!
Yay Joe!! Way to get things rolling again!!! I love Sunday for Mens dress shirt and Monday for neon glow. We are definitely in for the room crawl this year!! We're almost to the halfway mark!!! Can't wait to see all of you!!!
