Trying to explain this resort to vanilla people...

There’s a couple - very good friends of ours - who we would love to take with us to Temptation. They seem like they’d be perfect for it. They’ve even been topless at Vegas pools with us! But every year when we invite them, they give us a quick, lame-ass excuse and then change the subject. And then when we get home, they never ask about our trip.

Same thing happened with our trip last month. Except this time, they group-texted us asking how our vacation was. I thought that this was finally our big chance to sell them on Temptation, so I replied with a link to our trip report, saying YOU HAVE TO READ OUR TRIP REPORT:

Unfortunately, it must have backfired. They didn’t reply to that, immediately changed the subject, and haven’t said another word about it.

Ah well. This place isn’t for everyone. And maybe that’s for the best; if it WERE for everyone, none of us would be able to get rooms.

We have painfully tried to explain the resort and the amount of fun we had but to no avail. I think we are finished trying to convince our close friends. You cannot beat a dead horse or get blood from a rock. They will just have to continue with their average or below average vacations. When I ask them what was wrong their last resort they say there was no day time activity, or night time activity, or the guests were boring or.... everything that TTR is they want at their vanilla hotels, so I really don't know why they do not come.
So unfortunately, we have to party with strangers each trip. Thankfully you strangers are the best strangers in the world!!! We have met some awesome people on our trips and made some good friends, we wouldn't change this for the world. Looking forward to meeting some old friends on our next trip and definitely some more strangers!!!

Courtney just had this conversation with her hair stylist yesterday!! She thought her husband would love it, but she felt she might be uneasy losing her top because her boobs are on the small side. Courtney just told her that with such a large percentage of women around the pool being topless, having a top on would actually draw more attention. Maybe they'll want to come along on our next trip!!

 

We tell a few friends. Most are scared. I figure they know us and know we arent too wild. She makes sure of that. lol. We have one couple going with us this year that we met through mutual friends. I knew they needed the invite. We are also meeting people from our first and second trip in June. Who needs to bring friends? Make vacation friends!
