Just a question can you carry-on cigars? Dont think you would want to t put them in your luggage. :headbanger:
yes, but you should put your cutter in a check in bag, over zealous TSA person may confiscate it (never know when you'd threaten to take someone's fingertip off). Also,if you have a torch lighter, only way to take it only in a checked bag is that it has to be completely empty and in a TSA approved lighter case, they will definitely take it if you try to take it in the cabin. I found out the hard way last year that bringing your own cigars is the way to go. They are much scarcer in Mexico than I imagined, unless you like overpriced or usually fake Cubans or rag weed Mexican cigars. :biggrinbandit:
I buy a case every trip. Take out 2 cigars, creates just enough space for lighter and cutter. Place the whole thing in my checked in luggage. Never had an issue
travel humidor is filled and ready to go. Mostly Perdomos, but a few Romeo Y Juliettas and Alec Bradleys thrown in for good measure. It's coming along in a carry on though, hate to lose $200 of cigars to "roman hands" in an airport!
FYI - If you are going "into" Mexico, their customs restriction is that you can only bring in a maximum of 25 cigars
I like Rocky Patel Lite.....just started smoking them last year t the resort and loved them. Stay away from the beach cigars they are trash.
exactly how many I packed.....19 in the humidor and 6 still in plastic. Should be ok for a 9 day trip, but might visit the cigar shop across from our first resort before we head to TTR. They had some maduro Olivas that were really good but don't think they're distributed here in the states.....probably get some to take back home. Not a big maduro fan, prefer Connecticuts, but they were really tasty:elizabeth:
We are going to be there 2 weeks from today with a group of 11 first timers and 1 of them read that there is a cigar bar. If so do they sell any cigars? I am planning on bringing some with me just didn't know if any were sold at the resort of close by.
RP lites are my favs as well. And Makers Mark 650's. Will have about 15 with me when we go. Both are delicious and wife loves the aroma of both so it's win-win.
