Trying to explain this resort to vanilla people...

Over the past few weeks a lot of friends have been asking where we are going for our trip in June. Now since I'm(Guy) a horrible liar I just tell them Temptations. Then the questions start popping up...where's that, what kind of resort is it, what are you going to do while you're down there.....etc

Trying to explain that its an adult only, topless, spring break for adults, and a sexy resort to people that struggle with the just topless part is a real challenge but I just laugh it off when it makes them uncomfortable! LOL

I did have one couple ask if they could come with but when I kind of explained it to her she was like...... oh.... hmmmmm maybe that place isn't for us LOL!!!

What does everyone else do in these situations?

I always explain it's something completely unique, not a swinger or lifestyle resort, rather a place that most of the women feel confident enough to go topless. The trust and lack of judgement make Temptation something amazing. But if you can't cope with seeing boobs, you better not come! I'm always amazed at how quickly I cease to pay any attention to them lol.

 

We have tried a few times... have had mixed reactions from "I would never go somewhere like that" to "Can I go?!?!"

The best response was "You guys are so kinky...". Now I've just started to tell people it's a "party resort" and ask about their vacations.

 

How does that saying go, for those who know, no explanation is necessary, for those who don't know, no explanation is possible

 

We have very few vanilla friends and the ones that we do, we refer to them as "vanilla with sprinkles". They all like the sounds of the resort and some of them have been there already.

 

I pretty much say the same thing every time. I have said it so much it is essentially scripted at this point.

"So we go to Cancun often, because you can get direct flights and leave in the morning and be there by lunch. I hate spending most of the day just to get somewhere. But we also found this awesome resort, it's called "Temptation" (eyebrows raise at this point). Haha yeah yeah, I know what you’re thinking, but it isn't like that. It's an adult only resort, so there is zero kids, and it's essentially like spring break for adults. People average 30-50, but age is all over the place and it doesn't really matter cause everyone is partying together, and it is 90% couples. Oh and it's top optional. So you don't see any naked dudes, but like 70% of the people that hang at this one pool are topless. Yea they have 3 pools, one is like a regular pool at an all-inclusive with a pool bar, one is for volleyball and stuff, and the 3rd one, where most of the party people hang during the day, is called the sexy pool. There is a DJ, and a couple of bars, and everyone is super fun. They do hilarious games poolside, and most people are super nice and looking to make friends. But not like "bang my wife friends", but more like "let’s do shots". Now some people are in the swing lifestyle, but that isn't the majority, and it isn't in your face or anything. At night there are several nice restaurants you get dressed up for sit-down dinner, or if you’re too toasted you can hit the buffet. Then after that people all stay onsite at this open air bar for dancing and all that type of nightlife stuff. Lots of people even wear costumes to be hot or funny. Think schoolgirl next to dude in a banana suit.

First time we found it on trip advisor, we were skeptical, but we just decided to take a chance. Two days into the trip we were like “this place is the shit”, and now we understand why so many people are regular repeaters. The place pretty much has something for everyone and you can party as hard or as little as you would like to. At first the girls are worried about the topless thing, but you get desensitized to it in like a day. It's also awesome that it is like $2500 for two people for 8 nights all included. I was there 3 times in 18 months. The place I went to for my honeymoon was $5500 bucks, way nicer, but the day ended at 10pm and everyone kept to themselves. Not really mine and Elyse’s style, not really looking to read a book on vacation"

Depending on the audience you get a few different options:

Guy alone:
1. "That sounds awesome, I'll have to check it out, what was it called again? Might take some convincing, but I see what you’re saying" (then maybe the convo goes deeper into crazier stuff)
2. "Dude I wish, my wife would never go for that". (sad faces all around)

Couple:
1. Girl promptly says: "Yea I don't really think that's for us." (dude looks like his puppy ran away) I can normally see this one coming by her body langue during the explanation.
2. "Sounds cool, we should look into it" (this one isn't bad as there is still hope, and many times when I see the same people again they ask for more details.)
3. "That's awesome, we defiantly have to go there" (shots typically follow. Most of the time I find many of these people partying at my house at a later time)

Girl alone:

1. (ok so she is alone at a bar for a reason, and talking to me. Probably a party girl, or at least her friends are) “Sounds great, I have to tell my girlfriend!”
2. “You have to tell this to my husband when he gets here soon. He would love it”
3. There really isn’t a 3 on this one, as I probably wouldn’t have gotten far into conversation about TTR with a girl that didn’t seem like TTR material.

 

We don't tell anyone where we're going. If anyone asks... Grand Oasis. lol

 

We only go to the Oasis...........first rule of Temptation club.................there is no Temptation resort:whisper:

 

It,s a resort based on the 70,s ,, and they play a lot of Mo-Town

 

Only problem is half my friends have been to Grand Oasis! LOL So that "cover" wouldn't work for us! :anon:
