Snow will change to ice pellets Thursday afternoon. Snow and ice pellet amount is expected to be near 15 cm. Ice pellets will then change to freezing rain Thursday evening and change back to rain or snow by Friday morning. Ice accretions of 5 to 10 mm are possible. Utility outages may occur. A Colorado low pressure system will track northeast across the lower Great Lakes Thursday then over northern New England Friday, bringing significant amounts of snow, ice pellets and freezing rain. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. We live in St. Loius, it's 70 today and tomorrow only in the 40's. In the last two weeks we've had every season. 87 two weeks ago (summer) then 3 days later we had snow (Winter), then in the 60's spring and now were back in the 40 & 50's (fall).
