    Hi there,

I have two questions - thanks in advance!

1.) Recently, I was in Cancun, but never left the resort. During the ride back to the airport, I noticed a large shopping area/market with outdoor booths/kiosks. Is that a named area? We are already planning a trip back, and I thought it would be fun to tour the shopping area with my kids who are fluent Spanish speakers. If someone can tell me this particular area, I'd love to find a hotel within walking distance.

2.) Because my kid(s) speak/read Spanish (my 6 yr old can't read, yet, but my 9 year old is at a 4th grade level in Spanish), are there any sites or places to visit where my kids could appreciate the culture and language? I'd love for them to be able to use it ON an adventure/visit somewhere.

    Kris

The area I saw wasn't downtown. Might there be another area?
