We own a DJ company and know that everybody has different tastes. Especially coming from all around the world but many veterans of TTR know that the last few years there have been lots of complaints about the music. Well we just got back a couple of weeks ago and we think there has been a big improvement. There is a new DJ at the pool "Charlie". He actually went around the pool with a notepad writing down requests. Also they are now open to taking requests at the pool and at night. Our favorite DJ is still "Raffa". He's the head DJ and the bomb Love him! So after all the complaints last year I think they are finally listening. Too bad they couldn't do something about the toasters at breakfast though LOL!:deadhorse:
Charlie was awesome. We were requesting songs all night long. But you have to dance hard if he plays your song or he'll call you out!
Nice. The one year I was surfing radio stations on my iPod just to switch it up a little. And I can appreciate they have to mix it up for everyone I just like a little more variety between the pool during the day and at night at Paty'o's. Glad they'll ask for and take requests.
We'll take anything in 4/4 at 125-128bpm during the day and 135-140bpm on the dance floor... Definitely not the couple to complain, though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Really glad you like Charlie, but he is not new. Charlie has been at TTR well over 2 yrs now and was formally at Sea Adventure. He DJ'd the last 2 yrs on Halloween afternoon at the pool, when the band wasn't playing. He always DJ's PatyO's on Lingerie night every week (Thurs). He often plays at pool on days when Raffa is out doin the BC. He is the one rsponsible for the improved speakers and sound at the Sexy Pool and getting a real DJ booth built at PatyO's. He programs all the music for shows and Quiet Pool. He is openminded to trying out new songs at the Sexy Pool. He isn't 'play songs-by-nunber' and tries not to repeat what the other jocks play. I got him to play some Tragically Hip on Xmas Day and he ended up playing 3 more Hip tunes without being asked. He actually lives at TTR and is generally around everyday and night. He is by far the best thing to happen to the music at TTR.
We were just there 3/9-16 & he went around taking requests at the sexy pool. Good variety of songs requested!
