On our last trip I started a new ritual of taking our clean bubba mugs down to the breakfast buffet every morning and grabbing a plate and filling it with yogurts and fruits. Then I put a little milk in the bubbas and take them over to the bar area where there is a blender. I nicely ask the person tending the bar to blend it all up for me, tip them, then go back to the room and drink it in the dark and go back to sleep for another hour or so. It seriously worked wonders in filling me up with nutrients. It helped cure all my hangovers and felt good on my stomach. As for during the day I stick to mostly Skyy and Soda with lots of limes, but no matter what you do days on end of drinking in the hot sun will catch up sooner or later. Hence my smoothie idea! It was a nice way to ease into a day of drinking and generally eating like crap. (love chicken wings for lunch!) Can't wait to get back! xoxo

Flavored Rum, water, Mio, a few beers mixed in. That pain youre having sounds like some serious acid reflux. Been there, done that. Pop a OTC acid reducer every morning, and pop a couple Tums at bedtime.. Stops the reflux pains.
Another question- We are going down on a referral. Do all the bars have upgraded booze, or do we have to go to a special bar?
Depends for what but mostly all the bar have prenium booze. the premier bar is about 4 ft from the pool bar !' Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk
I found a magical balance last November that enabled me to drink all day, yet not suffer one hangover, through a few rules I set myself: 1) I imposed a 1am cut-off point (that I stuck to almost every night). I've come to realise that if I'm still drinking past 1am, it's because I'm already wasted. That being the case, I really don't need any more. It just gets messy for me to keep drinking beyond that window. I still stayed out late every night, but stopping alcohol consumption a few hours earlier, I felt much better for it in the mornings! 2) More water in between 'real' drinks. I alternated the hard and soft drinks better, sometimes ordering the water same time as the real drink. It really does make a difference, keeping hydrated. 3) Stop the ‘they poured it so I have to drink it’ mentality. In the past, someone pours me a shot of something, or bartender makes me a drink that’s a bit too strong, in the past I’ve been far too polite and drank it anyway. Now I’m definitely not one to turn down shots, but say someone hands me a Sambuca or tequila shot right after a previous one, I’ll turn that down as I know it’s not going to sit well! All that aside, I still had an awesome time, same old Trish, still a permanent fixture at the swim up bar. The difference was I didn’t have any ‘off’ days or a hangover. Not once. I was out enjoying the party every night, not suffering quietly in my room.
We drink like a pro by not drinking to get drunk, but drink enough to enjoy ourselves. That might be 3 drinks all day or 6 or 7. We enjoy ourselves, but make sure we remember it and still have something left in the tank for after Paty'Os before bed.
