Trip advisor frequently links out to a bunch of sites. Are you sure your reservation says them and not someone else? Regardless I know they typically only link with reputable sites. Just not sure which one you ended up with.
it is. Our 1st 2 nights out of 7 were through Cancel-on guaranteed by Trip Advisor. Called TTR the next week direct and everything had been taken care of. $213 US per night
A lot of guarantees read '' If for any reason room is not available we will transfer you at a comparable or better resort '' ,,,, doesn't help when your meeting up with 50 friends . seeing less of this these days with up to the minute electronic updates ,, was an issue in the past with discount agencies .
Wow! Took me a while to find your replies. Thank you. Trip Advisor gave us a confirmation number. But our credit card shows 'cancelon.com' for the charge..... Just will be so bummed if we get there and get 're located!' Haven't had any success contacting the resort. Oh well, fly to Cancun and go with the flow! All part of the adventure! Isn't Trip Advisor owned by Expedia? In any case, they will link to a bunch of providers and make referral commissions on any bookings.
Highly recommend contacting the hotel directly. There is a lot of discount sellers that sell 1st and try to book you a room after. Either call TTR or use the live chat on there site. You really don't want to get there and find out you don't have a room
