Hey Everyone, I will say it first lol I know I wont need much of anything but what are the essentials you bring? How many of what? Theme clothes? Shirts? Swim? Dresses? Shoes? etc... what will be enough to get by on? Thanks! I really dont want to overpack, I am new and I don't know the resort at all.... We will be there Oct 14th-21st.... Thanks! bonnie:aktion069:
Vicki says a few light summer dresses (for dinner), bikini bottoms (really, why bother bringing the tops?), sandals, flip flops, (adult) toys, make up, lingerie. As for the theme stuff, it depends on what month you are going. Some don't participate and if you are like Vicki, you are pretty much naked on theme nights.
Well Sherrie packs two suitcases to 49.5 LBS each, two carry ons, and we both seem to have big purses! I think she may overpack But I've been told a woman can never have too many shoes
There are a couple of good threads on the site if you search, so hopefully someone more tech savvy than me will put a link on here. Packing for TTR is a lot different than other resorts! I've given up on trying to pack light, and bring lots of options. My mantra: "Better to have and not need than to need and not have." For each day of the trip, I bring: * a bathing suit and something to throw on over it for lunch (+ hat, sunscreen, and flip flops) * a dinner outfit (Something I'd wear on a sexy date) * a theme outfit (pack each night's pieces in a separate big ziploc so you can make getting dressed easier after drinking way too many cocktails!) Then, add: * shoes: one pair of comfy sandals for sightseeing, one pair of dressy wedge sandals for dinner and dancing, and stripper boots or shoes that amp up theme night costumes * two options for lingerie night (or more...they're small, so what the heck) * one "oh f*** it, I'm too tired or drunk to care" nighttime outfit (usually shorts and a tank top or a sundress) * one "oh, sh**, I'm too sunburned for the pool" outfit (something with sleeves) * two appropriate-for-sightseeing-and-excursions-in-the-real-world outfits * two or three really slutty dresses you'd never get to wear anywhere else *something to work out in...just in case. Other things that come in handy: * Bubba mugs if you don't like drinking out of small, plastic cups * Ibuprofen * Dryer sheets to keep the musty smell out of your suitcase * extra ziploc baggies in case your stuff is still damp when you need to fly home * extra sunglasses (I always lose at least one pair)
I am about 100% sure we will overpack (for sure Christy) lol Quite a few dresses, theme night attire, dozen bathing suits. Mike, I am sure will bring a few pairs of sunglasses, but mine (Christy) are prescription sunglasses so I guess I better be very careful lol. Make the most of it and have a great time. If you end up packing too much at least you know you had options to choose from It will be our first time visiting in 21 days
