I questioned how many people were actually in the sexy pool. From the numbers described it sounded like 50, and that seemed crazy to me, but maybe I am missing something. In Sept and May, I don't think there is less then 150 in the sexy pool at any point during the day. I would imagine that if there is around 50 people to socialize with, then it would be pretty easy to notice if there was a particular group changing the vibe; no matter who comprised the group.
I also don't believe in this First come first serve, but reserving is okay. All personal stuff should be remove every morning so everyone has a chance. DP
Pretty simple to me. Numbers 2-6 in your list won't accost my wife when we're on vacation. Number 1 on the list? Well that's a possibility. Numbers 2-6 won't ruin our vacation, not a chance. Number 1? It's not out of the question.
I certainly see your observation as reasonable but I do think it depends on what you're going on vacation for. Please correct me if I'm off base on this but the overwhelming compliments and critiques concerning Temptation(on this forum and elsewhere) seem to afford the conclusion you don't come for the luxury, food, etc(while all of that is fine, and expected to be so) but instead for the people that are attracted to the place. Speaking only for myself, it's really my only expectation to hopefully be fulfilled. We don't usually leave parties because of amenities but we certainly do when the attendees make it a different type of party. Lifestyle clubs are similar in fashion. We've been to some that we love to be at, and some that don't cater to our flavor. I guess I'm just hoping to get what my expectation ordered. lol This review being the worst time and some of the others being the best imaginable, things often slide on that scale a bit. As mentioned before, the roll call reassures. See you folks soon!
Good points. Good discussion. I agree with both of them. I guess I am calling out that the resort gets too much of a pass and wish they would invest more in improvements. I totally see how some of those items while they matter to some of us, do not matter as much to others. I am by no means minimizing problem number 1. Believe me it was a factor in us returning in October over other times as there were little to no bachelor parties or big groups.
never said there was 50 people on average in the pool , depending on the time of day , there was a little as 2 people and then very full , the only reference I made to numbers was 26 single guys and 3 couples at one point , so that makes 32 , that being said Iam using canadian numbers and with the exchange rate theses days if you are using U S numbers that may explain the difference, haha. I also forgot to mention that the whole week we were there Surveyors had been moving all about the resort taking measurments , no idea why but they were.
March is by far the worst month to go and we avoid it like the plague. We made that huge error last year and we will never book in March again. Look at the roll call numbers for the March roll call compared to the April roll call...and then you still have to add in the over 1,000 posts from the April addicts thread too. Truth in numbers right there. The 'Spring Break' feel is nothing like people would think. There was nothing crazy or fun about it, participation was really low, and everyone really just kept to themselves. March at TTR is just full of a massive amount of irritating single guys in large groups and of course the creepers. The ratio of single guys compared to single girls was at least 50 to 1. The crowd that was there last year was generally not friendly either and there was no real fun vibe at all. We went 4 full days before even talking to anyone and didn't make any friends til the last couple days we were there, and even then it was only 3 other couples. Hope that it's different this year for those there or going, but based on the roll call, and the large number of single guys I've seen posting on FB for March, I seriously doubt it.
unicornhunter , you nailed it , with regards to the participation , single guys numbers and unfriendly people that was our experience this year , thank you for posting atleast we know that it was just not us .
Hahahaha, must be the exchange rate. No, I realized the number was 32, maybe 34, if you weren't including yourself. I just rounded up and padded it a bit to be sure I wasn't understating it. I understand what you are saying, I was just trying to get an idea of how full the pool was. I don't think when I have been there that there would have ever been a point I could count the people in the pool and figure out if they were couples or singles. But then again I can only count so high before I run out of fingers and toes.
