beamer played until about a year ago. She was with the Boston Derby Dames. Her name was Yvonne A Hit.
I played recreationally. I made it to one draft, never teamed. Time commitment was too much. My daughter dances competitively which takes up even more time than derby. Loved derby, but she comes first. My derby name was Yvonne A. Hit aka Von, #128. Miss it, loved it! Maybe when she's grown. I won't be too old, LOL!

Oh man I hear ya... Time commitment is an understatement lol it takes over your life. And I'm on the BOD so my free time is derby.... Plus a three year old. What a surprise to see this thread. The Mrs of one of the couples we are travelling with in April plays in a league. They had an exhibition game Friday night that we went to watch. Makes for a great evening of fun.

If it was just committing to practices and games, that would've been different, but there's a huge commitment for volunteering and a league job. I couldn't keep up with it all unfortunately. Something had to give. :-(
