Haven't booked for May yet, but have been shopping. Price looks to be about the same as last year thru Expedia. Not sure where some people are getting all these 'huge price increases'. From KC, for 7 nights in May, running about $2300 for 2 people including airfare non-stop to Cancun. Same as last year, and the year before, and the year before that....
I always wonder about those who talk about soaring prices too...my first trip was in 2006, and prices are always about the same every year. This year we booked for 10 days in May out of our tiny regional airport at a good price...and could have done even better had we booked flights out of Minneapolis. If you shop Expedia and Orbitz for a few different date combinations and use their promo codes, the deals are always there.
Ugh.....the million dollar question. Right now doesn't look too promising for May this year. A guy from my work, that's been 3-4 times too, is looking at October so we might try that. Hate to miss out on May this year though :-(
We have it on the 8th but a full boat already. We thought about renting a second time since we are not doing a Boobs Cruise this year. If not the yacht we are thinking of taking a day and going to the island.
Nine days.. 1750 from Portland Oregon, but like Gary said, I had a referral credit that brought the price down. I was just counting, this is trip 13 for me.
The problem for the Canadian's is our dollar is so crappy right now. So if you find a deal with Expedia Orbitz it's always in US dollars. So 2500 or 3000 trip is going to end up costing close to 35% more or $1000 more. This Sucks because we are not going to see you Scott and Courtney and Adam & Stacey and our many other friends. Hopefully things work out better next year. Have fun guys
