There was an awful story posted about a year ago about a husband who suffered a tear in his esophagus and nearly bled to death while on vacation at TTR. (I can't find that post which is why I'm writing this). He ultimately was air lifted to CA and survived but not before he and his wife experienced a mexican hospital up close and personal. Their whole experience sounded downright terrifying. I remember Steve posted some really good information about what's the best course of action should you have a serious medical emergency while in Mexico which was great because I wouldn't have had the first clue about what to do if that happened to us. I never really thought about a serious medical issue while on vacation but it happens. Problem is....i can't find it the post with Steve's great advice. As our trip is coming up soon and i'm turning into somewhat of a safety girl as i get a bit older. I was wondering Steve, would you please post this again and maybe consider making it a sticky. What you posted was hugely important especially for naive travelers. It could save someone's life or their bank account. I will be sure to write it down for our trip. Thanks!
