Breathless is nice, but it's no TTR. Gotta be just a little raunchy to compare with TTR and neither they, nor their guests are into raunchy!!
Agreed! we were at Platinum Yucatan Princess last October, and it had a terrific layout, food was awesome, nice beach......but being only open for less than a year, it had no identity. They hadn't honed in on what type of guests they're looking for so the nightlife was spotty and the entertainment staff tried to cater to too many types of vacationers. At TTR and DRM they have that all figured out! Great times beats out great food every time for us.artytime:
i'm sure topless will be allowed but not sure the demographic their marketing seems aimed at would participate that much....don't know but I'm pretty skeptical
What's going to be interesting is when their guests walk out onto their beach and look over to the left and see a bunch of naked people playing volleyball... :icon_eek: LOL!
Yeah, the way people say the price of TTR is getting out of hand at the current rates and Desire is WAY to expensive, I don't see a lot of TTR people jumping ship. Or this room...
Breathless is just another resort brand which is owned and operated by AMResorts, they also own/operate the Dreams, Now, Secrets, Sunscape and Zoëtry brand resorts. I doubt that AMResorts will ever publicly promote that any one of their brands(all of which are of a vanilla/family value demographic) offers topless optional - lol FYI - Apple Vacations is a large financial partner in AMResorts
Looks nice. Maybe too nice. I'll be interested to hear any TTR-goers reviews. I've seen lots of these places come along, they very rarely survive. Gotta have a little raunch to survive.
NO damn way for that kind of money. We don't want to own the place. We just want to spend a few nights at a place on something clean and comfortable, and let the party work itself out with other friendly people who like to make new friends, mingle, and share a few laughs. It's not about the beds, buffet, the gym, parasailing, etc. To us it's all about the other guests, and the sexy, fun loving vibe.
We went to a similar resort several years ago for a week. 5*, expensive, beautiful beach, topless optional. Bored to death, nothing going on after dark, and only 2 or 3 women used the optional part. We were ready to leave after the 3rd day. We'll stick with TTR's 3* resort with slippery floors, shitty beach, so-so rooms, decent buffet......... and AWESOME party people!! We aren't nearly pretentious enough to pay $4-500 bucks a night to be bored.
