We usually get wine at the duty free in Canada before we leave to have in the room. It's nice to have drinks to offer guests in our room. Never have done the Walmart trip after 20 trips +. Wondering if it's worth it ?
The duty free in Canada is actually cheaper than you can get it at the Mexican duty free or across the street from TTR. Believe they told us you can bring 5 bottles with you on the plane. That should get you through a couple days.
I do not drink wine in cancun Good plan to get hammered. Wine makes me sleepy. + I drink too much during the day so at dinner I just mostly drink water. I heard that you can bring 5 bottles as well but call your flight compagny to makes sure as sunwing won't let you. ( They are the dumbiest compagny anyways )! Maybe I'm gonna get 1 bottles this year gonna see Doesn't worth to go to wm. Just stop at the duty free at the airport before to leave ( canada )! Foubd was cheaper actually than la saq/ lcbo ( quebec and ontario ) Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk
Been to one Walmart in Cancun. Definitely geared to tourists rather than locals. Staff with ask you multiple times in English if you need help. Lots of trinkets and t-shirts which weren't cheap. They did have tons of booze. I'm not a drinker but the prices seemed cheap (I have no opinion on selection or quality though).
Little off Walmart topic. Is wine at stores across street any good. Also last year at Dreams, you could buy wine at dinner. Same thing offered at Temptation? Wife likes wine.
I don't know if what is in the bottles is good, but I can say that they had a decent selection at a wide range of price points. I am sure there is something in the mix that is good. Buying it there and then bringing into the restaurant is provably a better deal then buying one at dinner.
