New Members I've changed some settings for new registrations. They will have the same permissions as regular members except they: Can not send or receive private messages Can not upload photos to albums Can not leave picture comments Can not create or join social groups Can not view member profiles Can not post visitor messages to others profile Once they have made 5 genuine posts those restrictions are lifted. This will prohibit people who have zero posts and therefore zero input to the social side of the community from leaving picture comments and sending unsolicited Pm's that often lead to them seeking more sexy pictures. As far as I know this cannot be applied retrospectively (except on an individual account basis) but will apply to all new registrations. Photo Albums Despite a warning next to the upload button asking not to upload nude/topless/sexual photos people are still doing it, and getting more and more extreme. This puts the very future of the site at risk by having it classed as adult content, being blocked by workplace and public areas and advertisers pulling out. It also encourages picture collectors and creepers to visit the site. If your album contains such pictures the whole album will be deleted without warning or notice, I don't have the energy to go through them one by one deciding which are ok and which aren't and sending you a message about it. Depending on severity album privileges may also be revoked. I will be conducting a fairly major review of existing albums in 7 days or so. If you have photos that aren't permitted please remove them now or risk having your whole album deleted.
Fairs fair we all enjoy the forum keeps us all in touch with people we've met down there but it is also part of the way you do business. Certainly nice of you to warn everyone ahead of time instead of people going to their albums finding things deleted and sending a bunch of WTF Steve messages your way.
Not sure I'm in agreement with that one. I can see it might reduce troll threads but those who are determined would do it anyway, and those that just wanted to start a thread asking a question wouldn't be able to and may not bother coming back.
Steve, Any thought on deleting old, unused profiles? There are so many that were created one day, then never visited again.
Did our part...We are G-rated...Can we talk dirty? Send those who wish to post XXX to the other website.
It could be done, but if they are unused then they don't really have any impact. Maybe I'm missing the point?
