Disappointed by Theme Night Participation

When you wrote fluffies I had to think for a second what they were, but then I remembered Steve dancing wearing them on the Boobs Cruise. And I was like I bet they are those furry boot things. Yep this picture confirms it. But I believe his were pink

Participation levels can vary. We were there late November and early December and participation was about 50%. Late April/early May participation is always high! With Lee and Gail leading the way it is party on! The May themes are already posted after some great work from CCC members. Shop or create and have a blast participating.

We are addicts and booked for early March as well. Themes have posted on the March roll call thread. We encourage participation regardless of when you book...it is a blast!

Sorry you had that experience. We have been in sept, oct, nye, feb, and may and enjoy the theme nights w about 25-30% of folks. However, Scuba had a great point that some folks don't appreciate that it can be difficult to party all day, do it again at night, and then rinse and repeat for days on end. Early evening naps are my solution. Additionally, some folks like to "Facebook flex" and then get bashful upon arrival. Having been to TTR many times we are able to appreciate that for some of us it takes that first or second trip of people watching to get comfortable with the environment. We almost always follow the themes created on here. We will be there may 6-11 and would love the opportunity to change your mind. One of the things I love about this forum is how many people honestly want you to try out "their" week to provide you with a better experience. Bottom line is some people want to star in the show and some want to watch it. Either way, plenty of room and love for all! Btw, love the ostrich safari hunter idea!-K

 

Ahh.... "Participation." It's the magical ingredient that makes a party night take off.... or not.

What we've (Stacia, actually) has done is while at TTR she makes sure to proselytize amongst the other ladies to Make Sure that everyone knows which night is what, and to wear this outfit or that one while everyone's down at the Sexy Pool during the day.

"You got your White Shirt?"
"Sure do! Brought my slammin' 5" heels that *so & so dude* likes!"
"Great! See ya tonight?"

Insert Naughty Schoolgirl, or lingerie, or Naughty Nurse or whatever intot he above exchange.

It kills the mood Really quick when you are anticipating killer theme night party and you get, as the O/P said, "meh."

Feb. 2015 on WDSN we started out with a pair of WDSN&H hotties, Stacia & Diane. Then Tami joined up, then Lisa and Melissa.... this is all taking place at the Quiet Pool bar, by the way. Then at about 9:45 pm we trek en masse over to Patyo's where, no surprise, there was not a WDS to be seen. But, I distinctly heard at least two statements like these, "Here we go!" and "There they come... I'm gonna go get mine, babe. I'll be right back!"

In about 20 minutes there were about 25 ladies wearing much less, all because of the... Participation.

Everyone on this thread has made good points. Cancuncare members do follow different themes than those that don't have a clue about this site. In June, we try to follow the resort themes as much as possible, but put our own special twist to it. In June, there are also slow times......just like any other month. Now, the second week of June with the June Junkies is a full week of strongly participated sexy pool daytime themes and night themes. The majority of the men dress up too........and they get a lot of attention!!

So what I'm trying to say is that each month has busy weeks and slower weeks. The best way to figure out when to plan your next trip is to stay active on cancuncare and see which group fits your style. There are some on here that prefer the slower times, and others want to AMP IT UP!!!!

You two are cordially invited to join the June Junkies this year! However, nobody really needs an invitation........JUST SHOW UP AND BE READY TO HAVE SOME FUN!!! There is a large group of returners the second week of June. Curtis and I will be there June 8-20.

We see this a lot. Just kinda strange how some people are all out on here and Facebook, and almost opposite when you meet them at TTR.

Oh well. We have fun no matter who or what!! lol

Boils down too, no one wants to be first.

You get out of supper , its still early , people swing by Patios, and notice no one in theme wear, so go back to room and wear normal clothes .
then when people do show up some don't want to go back and change.

people feel more comfortable once they see 10 people or so in theme.

2,5 years ago our group decided to to lingerie night on a different night because lingerie was pre-empted by Halloween . ,, Well within half an hour patio,s was full of lingerie. ,,, just to show people will follow,
