Thanks kind of thought it was far out, will actually book in JULY-SEP for FEB or APR.
Was guessing they have nothing booked and if they can snag someone for 4500 they made out.

I always book flights separate, where we are its always cheaper to do it that way, plus card miles etc come into play

I meant 6 yrs ago the joint was 60% full (like all other Cancun hotels are still) and the room rate was almost half of what Halloween is this year.
And TTR will sell out again for the 4th yr in a row

Sad how we are rewarded by higher prices for supporting the place we love

We use Orbitz and have seen prices change by $300.00 overnight. I check prices daily and record the prices after watching the prices for a few weeks I know which days are the cheapest to book

I believe Alpharooms have lost out on TTR contract this year. We have used them the last 3 years but way too expensive this year. We are looking to book with another site which is a lot cheaper. Try shopping around.

You just got to pick a range of dates and start researching. Prices come and go all the time. Rarely if you look one week and two weeks later look its the same price. One site to the next can literally be $50 a night difference.

Trying to book right now for 2017 isn't going help you at all. Your basically going to be stuck with the avg. rack rate for that time of the year this far out. In other words chances are you'll pay the highest rate going for April 2017. I won't even worry about booking an April 2017 trip till Dec. of 2016 or Jan 2017. Mid or late April it would be rare for the resort to sell out by end of 2016 or even by April of 2017.

Alpharooms dont have a contract with TTR. TTR sells in bulk to a wholesaler and Alpharooms buy their inventory from there along with many other agencies,
