I booked a TTR trip a month ago for feb thru Expedia no prob. At the time of booking it was going to be a solo trip...but since then the GF has found she can come down for the first half but can use her own miles for the airfare.

Would like some advice from those who may have done similar in the past.

Should I try to confuse Expedia by adding a 2d traveler for just the resort for just part of the trip, or just show up at TTR just assuming I can add 2d person to room for 5 of my 9 days?

I'm assuming based on having dealt with them in past visits that trying to call the front desk beforehand and trying to change the reservation would result in more confusion than I want to deal with...maybe that's an incorrect assumption?

    Thanks!
    Nate

Best to deal with it on-site directly at front desk.
Adding her to your room should not be a problem.
    Happens frequently
There will be a $$ charge most likely.

Thanks Marshe...I do have an email into the resort for what good it'll do. I expected to pay at least an all-inclusive fee so that's no biggie. Good to hear that it's something that happens with some regularity and they should be able to handle it on the fly

    thanks!

Most likely you will be fine....try to ask for Phillipa if you hit a snag
She's one of the best at the desk

Thought I'd update this thread. After 3 tries, I was able to get an email confirmation from TTR on what Marshe said....can add the 2d person at checkin without an issue...no need to rebook or try to have Expedia muck things up.

How much did it cost to add a person to your room (per night)?

I figured I'd have to negotiate that at check-in while perhaps as part of a room upgrade...was just looking for confirmation that there wouldn't be an objection. Normally, the daily cost difference is between 1 and 2 is roughly usd 50-75/day, so that's what I'm assuming going in.
