I got a referral from someone but I'm unsure if its worth it to use or if I should just stick with booking through my travel agent... how is it different? I just don't to be scammed or anything... Can someone explain it o me please? We are traveling mid may, first timers for our 1st wedding anniversary! Thanks
Going as a Premier guest is worth it for some and not for others. It depends on what you like and what's important to you. In my opinion, the best perks we get with Premier membership is the reserved area by the pool and the service that comes with that, the upgraded meals/wine/booze, the use of the spa, and room service. For us, there was no cost savings for the room. It was the same cost as we would have spent through Expedia or a similar site. The room didn't seem upgraded to us, but the room location was slightly better than in the past. Let us know if you have any other questions. We are happy to help. Make sure you let them know it's your anniversary when you book, as they will do something special for you in your room. :liebe011: -Ginger
Basically you get a better rate with all the perks of being a member. The commitment from you in return for going on the referral, is that you have to go through the member presentation. Takes about 90 minutes.
No scam, all premier members have Referrals they offer up. You also get all the perks that the members get, premium booze, butler, special reserved areas etc.
Sure, first off, Steve isn't a huge fan of people trying market their Referrals on here (feel free to PM if you like and I can let you know how to look this up). That being said, basically the referral lets you have the perks that members have during your stay (access to the premier bar, more options at the a la carte menus etc). If it comes down to price ask yourself if you're willing to pay a little more for more perks. If that isn't important to you then go with the cheaper option. As the person using the referral that's really what you have to consider, also know that you are obligated to attend the 'welcome breakfast' or more correctly put timeshare pitch. You don't need to buy anything but the deal is that you sit in and let them make their offer to you. Hope that helps.
Agree with what everyone has said so far. The only thing I'd add is this if you want to know what kind of perks you might receive while down there is to ask the person that gave you the referral in the first place. All you have to do is book your airfare down to the resort so if you can find a super cheap flight it's good that way, and you pay what the member pays for the room, you get the premium liquor, more choices on the menu, butler service, member only areas, you will have to sit through a presentation once while down there pick a time that's convenient for you. If you can put it off until the day you check out do that as you can always cut the meeting short by saying thanks that's wonderful we gotta go have to catch my transfer back to the airport.
We are headed down on a referral and we are paying more than what the members are paying. When the rates were sent to me it showed member rates and a guest rate for the member. It was a difference of about $70/night. Would that be because they are coming with us or is someone getting the wrong information....either way this is our 5th trip but first time booking through a referral. If we didn't have a free flight it wouldn't be any cheaper for us to go this route, in fact it would be cheaper to book all inclusive. Either way....it's a win win because we are going back
Referrals get 25% off from the regular Price, members have different exclusive prices only for members.
So you log on, register and make your first post and blindly ask this? And claim ignorance on the subject. Hard to fathom. And you did No research on here! Why wouldn't you ask the 'someone' who you claim is giving you the referral?
