We are attempting to use Alpharooms for our hotel booking in March. Has anyone from the USA ever used Alpharooms to book their TTR trip and if so, did you have any issues? Trying to figure out why they are $800 less than anyone else. It says they are a UK based travel agency, but they let me book? Are they a resourceful option to use from someone outside the UK and does anyone know why they are so affordable? Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
Used them the last seven trips without a problem for the room portion of our trips. The price does vary from day to day with them I have seen.
Used our last time for a great rate. Only problem first night was overbooked and they had us stay at the sister resort because we paid least. They did provide cab rides and upgraded us to a jacuzzi room last couple nights. I def would book with them again. We are trying to find a good deal now for 4 nights over the next couple months. Found some very reasonable airfare. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
Recent posts have them not accepting reservations from USD on their UK/Pound site. You have to have a UK passport . recent thread talking about this , I would do research,, a lot have used them in the past.
I used them last year from the US with no issues - DEFINITELY check the dates though. You punch in two dates, and you may not get those exact dates in the outcome. I've had to try the day before or after to end up with the date I wanted. It really wants to go saturday to saturday....
Used them the last two years....however for us, they were more expensive this year...even the resort with added air was cheaper...however we ended up with Prestigia being the cheapest by far this year for us...
If you book thru Alpharooms, use the link here, Steve gets a penny or two, We've used them before with great results..... BUT! The last time we booked thru them very early because of a low-price-if-you-book-now-gotcha deal they revoked the deal and refunded us a month or so before the trip, caused a lot of stress & we ended up paying a LOT more in the long run. They monitor this board, so expect them to contact you.
No longer have the great prices in US dollars they used to have. Been discussed on here in several threads. Also, most of the online cheap booking sites are a little misleading. They give you a "total" price, then tack on $200+ fees when you checkout.
I've used them the past few years for Mexico stays down the coast and TTR. When I tried to use them in Aug to book our trip, there were issues with the booking. I finally got tired of trying and ended up booking thru other sites. Their prices have always been pretty good with advance booking. Don't know what is going on but, they may be losing U.S. business.
