So we booked Temptation because we are sick of other resorts. Sick of dealing with kids running around, people just reading books not having fun, and snobby people. We are however not into the "lifestyle" we don't care if others are and don't judge them. I was just wondering if everyone at the resort is or just some. Will we stick out like sore thumbs if we aren't? Just curious and looking forward to having a blast.
The percentages have gone around at what people think the ratios are of the various styles of lifestyle/vacationing mode. My opinion though is like: · 5% - people that for some crazy odd reason have no idea what they booked and aren't happy. · 10% - Couples that know what they booked, but still like to mostly hang by themselves, and go to the beach or the quiet pool. Might let loose more at night. · 25% - Regular couples that just like to party hard day and night · 30% - Couples that kick up the party hard another notch and might find themselves licking/grabbing/touching someone other than their partner. Mostly for fun, laughs, and mild flirting · 15% - Couples that kick it up another notch and are kissing others. The may find themselves in someone's room alone, or with others, doing things they probably would never do at home · 15% - Lifestyle couples/singles
I think ScubaSteve pretty well nailed it on the ratios. You will definitely not stick out like a sore thumb. Have a blast...hopefully we'll get a chance to meet.
You will have a great time. There really is no judgement. We have met so many great people during our last 2 trips. We will be there from April 14-19th. If you see us come have drink.
Yeah my math needed a minor tweak. Should have used a calculator (like all those idiots that thought a billion dollars equaled a million for all).
It is interesting to see how you have it divided up. As every week is different and everyone has different experiences. I would actually bump up the last 2 categories though and maybe have something like this... (I know it is semantics but this is fun on a slow friday) 1% - people that for some crazy odd reason have no idea what they booked and aren't happy. I don't think it is 1 in 20 couples that make this mistake these days. More like 1 in 100. 4% - Couples that know what they booked, but still like to mostly hang by themselves, and go to the beach or the quiet pool. Might let loose more at night. My opinion is those quiet pool people just need a break during the day bc they partied too hard the day or night before. And there are very few who go to TTR to just hang by themselves. 15% - Regular couples that just like to party hard day and night Lowered this one too I think more of the party first crowd fall into the next category. 25% - Couples that kick up the party hard another notch and might find themselves licking/grabbing/touching someone other than their partner. Mostly for fun, laughs, and mild flirting Agreed, the quarter of the resort that is all about the party and the flirt but ends up always with each other 25% - Couples that kick it up another notch and are kissing others. The may find themselves in someone's room alone, or with others, doing things they probably would never do at home I raised this number up. I think there are a lot of people that party first and foremost but if something more than the flirt happens than so be it. Willing to test the waters so to speak. 20%- Lifestyle couples/singles Raised this up a little too. Still think it might be low actually. There have been polls on here that have resulted in the numbers being much higher. And you left out one other category... 10% - singles looking for other singles or couples for 'fun'. Classify fun however you want.
Defiantly agree with your assessment as well. I just was throwing the base down, and it gives us somewhere to go. Like you said though, every trip is different, and even at a point during the middle of a week it could change. And obviously one's perspective can sway those numbers one way or the other. If you are front and center, with the craziest group at the resort, you may not really notice what is going on the other side of the pool. Though it may seem like the bulk of the people are in those last 3 categories (making up 55%), they just might be 100% of the people you are hanging with Obviously you going during Octoberbreast, and I with the early Mayhem group, we see things that might be much more pumped up then the norm. My first trip Mid-Sept, seemed to have less perverted shenanigans then other trips. But that doesn't mean a solid handful of nuts can't kick it up a notch to inflate those last few numbers. Oh and those first two being 1% and 4% is way more accurate when I think about the number of actually guests/rooms. (I just threw that together quickly last night right before I left work)
I wonder if they should hand out colored wrist bands upon checkin so we knew which category people place themselves into.. LOL
