We go every trip, which I think about 12 or more times.. we've stayed over for a few days twice.. and would again.. every time we go we have found a new place.. to think someone has explored all of Isla in one day... I think NOT.. I understand the crowd thing.. I don't care for crowds much either... however there are so many places on Isla that you can go .. sit back, people watch or just sit and watch the world go by... Someone mentioned the joint... there is a sister place which just blew us away...El Patio... another gem was Jax... to many wonderful places to mention.. And evenings on Isla is totally different than the day...

We stayed on Isla for 4 nights in November, and I think we stopped at El Patio every night, it's a fun place. Jax is a good place to people watch. While we were there (at Jax), we saw 8 obviously intoxicated people show up in golf carts and start ordering drinks at the bar. Before we asked, we knew these had to be TTR people. Not only were they from TTR, there we on the lunch stop from the Boobs Cruise! They rented golf carts, drove about 100 yards, then stopped and drank for 50 minutes. Then they drove back 100 yards, turned in their 1 hour golf cart rental, and had to get back to the cruise. A couple of the women in the group weren't too happy with the "shopping" they were supposed to be doing!

We were planning to go over to the island sometime while at TTR as it comes highly recommend by friends back home. We would enjoy going with people that have been there before and know the hot spots. The 19th works for us. We are there Feb 17-24.

Anytime we have gone to Isla we only would eat at Jax because we knew it was owned by Americans and the cleanliness /food safety thing was not an issue. And great food. Would love to try one of these others if we knew it would be safe too?

No disrepect but weve had Jax and its terrible compared to the great authentic restaurants that are dotted around the island owned by locals. Last time over there a couple friends of ours went to Jax for breakfast after I warned them its not the best and they both ended up with the squirts for a day and a half. They didnt want to walk far and paid the price, we ended up at the Rooster Cafe and I had one of the best breakfast sammies ive ever had
