I had the real stuff from Amsterdam about 10 years ago and it did nothing. There was 4 of us that drank the entire bottle and nothing more than a regular buzz.
I heard the wormwood was kinda the thing that makes you trip when you drink the real stuff. I would try the real thing, but only if others had a drink with me!! I don't wanna be running around naked thinking a green ferry is chasing just me me well.. could be kinda fun LOL.. On a serious note, i doubt you can find it with the wormwood in it. If i do ill share, if not the stuff at the store it shall be. Thanks though!!
I have heard Amsterdam was a place to get the real deal.. Its amazing you just got buzzed, and no psychotropic effects. I saw people used to put laced sugar cubes in it and things like that.. I just liked the taste of it in vegas, but it was the fake stuff. Thanks for letting me know bro!
Ill just do that then. I am also bringing some Lemon cello with me.. just to have a variety of shots.
That is how we drank it. We pored it over a frozen spoon with a sugar cube on the spoon and drank it as a shot until the bottle was gone. It does have a powerful licorice flavor.
The place to buy it is in Prague. Most of Europe limited the Thujone (active ingredient from the wormwood) to tiny concentrations if any at all. In the US, all the absinthe is also with no thujone. You can buy it most anywhere, but all it is is really really strong booze. In Prague however the laws are the most relaxed and you can buy some. I bought a couple bottles and brought them home to the US. It's good stuff! You do not trip out all crazy, even the ones we have now that are at 'high' concentrations are still tiny amounts to what they used to have hundreds of years ago. So fear not. Most of the time you just get wasted as it's in the 160+proof range so it doesn't take much to get you pretty lit.
Exactly! Might as well just drink 10 long islands at the resort and save your cash, your only going to get drunk extra drunk off of it. Go find some of those organic mushrooms if your looking to go on the pink elephant parade
