Hello everyone! Has anyone had experience with early check in at the resort? Our flight is a red-eye, so we'll arrive around 7am. Knowing check in isn't until the afternoon, is there a place to store our luggage, maybe change, and just relax in the pool or beachside until we can get in our room? Do they allow that?
Pack your pool stuff in your hand luggage , arrive, get a ticket from the bell boys for your luggage , check in get your wristbands and go change in the bathrooms in the lobby .relax by the pool etc . Go back to reception when they tell you to get your room . Go check the room before asking for your luggage to be taken there , if you don't like the room ask politely if they have anything else and they will usually accommodate you .
I am sure that if U pack some swimsuits and/or shorts and t-shirts in your carry on bag, U will be allowed to check in and change in one the bathrooms on the sites. They will hold your luggage and put U in the room if and when one is available. In the meantime U will get your wristband and be allowed to roam and enjoy till your room is ready. Not sure the time the people who check U in report to work, but I am sure there will be somebody who has had this situation happen to them on this forum and can give first hand experience. I would say, U might do the pre-check-in on TTR web page (I think it is 15 days from your arrival date) and explain in there your concerns, and finally Have fun...
We have never been lucky enough to get a room before 3pm. Im sure the day you arrive will have something to do with that too. We always arrive on saturday.
we did not get our room in April til almost 4. We arrived at TTR around 12 and they gave us our wristbands and away we went. They will send you over to talk to the sales people about the tour, just tell them that you had a long flight and need some drinks and pool.
Make sure you put your sun screen near the top of your packed suitcase as well...easier to get it out so you don't have to "unpack" in the lobby.
What about the cash? 500$ or more is hard to keep on you with swimwear so does people leave their money in their luguage at the lobby or do something else?
we were lucky in October to have our room ready when we got there at noon. Doubt we'll be so lucky in April during the height of the busy season, but check out at our first resort is noon and it's a 5 minute cab ride to TTR so we're keeping our fingers crossed.
