$700 is not low, that is the most expensive vacation I can think of, and my friends are envious. As I said I want luxury and paid top dollar for Cancun when I could have saved and went to Cabos etc. To me $1000 is a lot of money and I can vouch that anyone would agree, $1000 to invest into a vacation I expect over the top 5 star treatment because I would wager that is as expensive as it gets. TTR is rated 4+ star and the price matches the expectation I have which is high. If i didnt want luxury I would settle for a normal $300-400 trip camping or airbnb. This time I wanted to spoil my self with an over the top vacation to Cancun, and where better to show off then a top resort? How is my message not clear, by the way i am not a troll, I think my post are relevant and to the point. December is the most expensive time of year, after that January and onward it is slow season. Reason being kids go back to school and prices drop astronomically, no one goes to vacation in Jan-March until prices go back up in Spring Break. I feel I am paying a lot of money for a luxury resort because to me I cant imagine a vacation more expensive than this as it is.
Then do not ever go to Vegas. With a budget of only 1000 bucks in Vegas that will only give you about 1 day of sitting in the hotel. And do not try to go to a 5 star restaurant or a nice new club to impress your girl with only 1000 in Vegas. :aktion033:
Buddy, you're being a clown right now. We just got back from out first time here and the place, people, and staff are awesome. My advice is this: *The staff here is great. Keep saying people can't afford to tip well, but my wife and I are middle class and we averaged about $80/day, which they all worked hard for. This isn't a no-tip resort. $1/drink, $5/round, $5 to maid service DAILY, $5 per meal. You can't afford that? Go to Chuck e Cheese and tell them you're under 10 and it's your birthday, you'll probably eat for free. *You wanna try to slide the front desk a $50, do it, see what happens. When nothing happens but a smile and a "thank you," ask for it back. Then see what happens. When nothing happens, try to make a fuss. Tell us about it, it will be fun for us to read. *You wanna feel like a baller on this vacation, it's not gonna happen. This place isn't for ballers. I met plenty of people who made a nice living and they expected no baller privileges. You don't come her for luxury, you come here for the party and people you'll meet, you can't pay for that. Humble yourself and enjoy the place and people. *If you want to impress your partner, you're gonna fail miserably with your approach. You're gonna be crabby that you're not being treated like Beyonce and your partner is gonna say "fuck it" and see other people having fun and join them, leaving you behind. Don't be that guy. *The best way to have a good time here is to post a picture of yourself and find who else is going at that same time. Then when you recognize each other you have an ice breaker and friends for the trip. If you have already set a tone for yourself that says that you're proudly trying to screw the place over that all of these people love then you are just setting yourself up for a lonely miserable trip.
Thanks Steve Some of us on here needed a good laugh. Let's hope it is a troll as you say, and not some legit TTR vacationer that any of us would have to share the pool with.
I've done a referral once and been as a regular guest 5 times. The difference is barely noticeable. This isn't a luxury hotel. You're not going to get treated like a millionaire, white band or not. About the best perk of the band was the availability of pool / beach chairs and the salmon dishes at the seafood and Italian restaurant. I'm not signing up just for that! If I see a reserved chair with nobody on it, I tend to sit down and just move if someone turns up. Has only happened once where someone looked a bit grumpy about it!
The only thing you're building here kid isn't wealth, it's a bad reputation as a cheap, scamming, douchebag. 25 and still in school? What the hell is taking so long? You should be well into a meaningful and PROFITABLE career by now in nearly every profession. Saved "thousands by leaving no tips through the years?" Right.... Forget TTR... You're not the type. On the other hand, you probably should get off the message boards before your mom opens the basement door and catches you scamming, spamming, and stroking again.
At first I was honestly hoping you just had a problem with a language or dollar conversion tool, and a 0 was getting dropped along the way. 700=7000, haha. To answer your questions above, I don't see how anyone is going to praise you for being 25 and able to go on vacation. I went to Cancun at an all inclusive at age 17 when I graduated high school. I paid for this myself,(mostly from money I made from those "tips" from waiting tables, cooking, and scooping ice cream). After college, by age 25, I had already bought a new car, sweet house, giant TV, stereo system, engagement ring, and topped it off with a puppy. You really aren't doing anything noteworthy in your accomplishments thus far. Oh and yes you do sound cheap, but at this point, I am pretty sure you aren't real. So I am actually a little mad at myself for staying at work last night 15 minutes later to respectfully answer your questions before I realized this was a joke (in more ways then one). I am pretty sure you are just trying to bait people, but I will say you are doing a pretty good job at it because your responses actually have content to them.
I will say this has been the best thread for fun in a while. Great responses, funny people....makes the lull between trips a little more manageable. :aktion033: Going back to my popcorn and regularly scheduled programming. Nikki
