That's too bad you cancelled your trip because of what his ex may have thought.. the very first trip mama and I made down there we had followed the advice of friends to go down there as we'd have a good time. We booked in October grabbed the transfer from USA Transfers and got to the hotel super quick, we checked in, did the time share table and finally headed to the room to change, then off to grab lunch with plans to head to the pool afterwards. So we're heading to the buffet for lunch as we didn't know the lay of the land yet as far as restaurants were concerned. We pass the corn hole game where I point out the motto of "No One Knows You, No One Gives a Shit" and say "man that's great" we go through the door well she heads to the right and goes to see what they have in the warming tray and I head to the grill to see what they have cooking when it happens. The woman in front of me turns around to say something to her husband and there I'm staring right at the girl that styled my ex-wives hair and I don't know what to say right away, however going through my mind was No One Knows You bull fucking shit they don't.... about this time mama walks up and inquires about the grill, I take this opportunity to introduce her to this couple and we make our lunch choices and go sit down well needless to say mama was a little upset but seeing as there was nothing we could we decided to make the best of it. We got to the pool we helped apply suntan lotion to on another and I went and got a couple of drinks for us, well the other came out which prompted my lovely lady to utter "OMG what if they tell your ex we were here" to which I said "who gives a rats ass if they do. I could care less if she knew we were here so it doesn't matter to me." So to wrap this up we had a great time the other couple left 2 days later and I still don't give a rats ass if my ex knows if I go to Temptation
If they were enjoying themselves, it'd all be cool. If I met someone there I knew from home and they were having a bad time, then that'd be totally different. I do work with an admin woman in my office who went during the BBG days - she said they went once and never went back! I take that as she had a bad time, but as far as I know she's not gossiped about me staying there every year.
A few weeks after my second trip I was talking to a lady that owned a horse back riding company. We were talking about how fun the summer had been and that we had returned from vacation. She asked where we went and we figured who cares, so we told her Temptation. She smiled real big and told us she had just returned the week before. As we got talking, she told us of her awkward experience. While there she ran into her sister. Both of them had made up a fake name of a resort they were going to as to not let the other know the "kind of place" they were going to, lol. She said they hung out some, but it was most awkward for the husbands, trying to figure out if they were allowed to look at their sister-in-law's and comment on their nice shoes!
Sometimes the best way to break the sexual tension is just to have sex and get it out of the way!! haahahahahah
Ok, this actually happened to us on our 2nd trip. I (him) recognized an employee that had worked for me previously. I didn't personally hire this guy but I knew his name. I approached him thinking I would need to do some seriously quick befriending! He didn't even realize it was us. Now that the cat was out of the bag. We did shots, partied with him and his friends all week and started hanging around with him back home. He and his brother even came back to work for me for 3 years after. One of my best employees! He eventually moved on to another city but I still texted him to let him know that we're heading back in January. All my wife says about it is 'I can't believe he saw my boobs'. Ha!
I think for most, immediate family would be an issue, but as far as friends/co-workers are concerned...wouldn't bother me a bit, but I'm not the one with my junk hanging out, so I can appreciate it would be a little tougher on women. I just look at it this way; there are two kinds of people in this world (assuming they know what TTR is about)... those who go, and those who wish they had the balls to go! Whether someone decides to be a closet TTR vacationer or not, I guess, can depend on their individual circumstances, but I relate it to those that are closet smokers, because they don't want their friends or family to know...they would be surprised how many of their friends and family are closet smokers too!
There are a few that I would actually LOVE to run into at TTR. That could be a whole new benefits package!
I can confirm that kissin'cous turned into a well-versed party girl after Kyle and Jen went home. The metamorphosis was rapid. Rarely seen at first, then it was hard to miss her. One of the stars of the show
Right, it didn't stop us. No idea why it stopped them. They recently got married so I guess the trip worked out pretty good
We were at an "adult club " in Michigan sitting with friends, and all of the sudden he turned white as a sheet! His boss and his wife were coming down the steps........they saw each other, said holy ****, then his boss just said, "if you don't tell anyone I won't either, and the night went on as if it didn't happen.:anon:
