So, Im encouraging my wife to get nipple piercings . Looking for feed back from experienced ladies.Good idea or bad idea, and why ?
I have had mine done for over 10 years now. They do take a while to heal and maintenance while healing. You need be careful with not wearing a bra depending on the clothes you wear. Snagging can be painful. I had read up on it quite a bit prior to getting them. It was stated there is a 50/50 chance of losing feeling after getting them. Well I was lucky, I didn't have much feeling from nursing both of my kids each for a year. But after I got the piercings, I DID get feeling back and have maintained the feeling even after 10 years. Plus with all of the different jewelry available today, it is fun to shop for different looks.
I'm having an augmentation in a couple weeks and will have to take mine out for the surgery.......and keep them out for a couple weeks thereafter in an abundance of caution. I hope I can get mine back in! I have all sorts of jewelry that I like to wear, but not sure i'LL get themierced again.
I bet they will sadly close up in about a week, especially if there is the extra blood flood going to that area of other healing. Good luck though!
I put my wife's back in with in a few hours after her surgery with no issues at all. We did buy a longer pair of straight ring just in case of some swelling but did not need them. I love nipple rings
Just put them right back in after the surgery. Make sure they are clean and if they bother you then take them out. If not your good to go. My wife saw the doctor the next day and said the same thing. As long as they are not getting in the was of your healing your good to go.
Dr said infection of my boob's could enter through my nipples. I still have "crusties" from time to time 12 years after original piercings! Interestingly enough my hood and labia healed very quickly and I know i'll be able to get those back in.
