So we've booked with them before and were checking out prices this morning again for next May.

On the US version of the site it's showing a rate of $230/night.

However, when I switch to the UK version I get a rate of approx. £115.18/night (which converts to approx. $173/night at current rates).

Anyone know if there's any reason I can't book at the cheaper UK rate?

Per the Premiere folks 3 weeks ago....AR and their 3rd party booking agent no longer have a contract/agreement with TTR. Reaso we were told was due to rates being sold in UK pounds, when the actual rates were higher and TTR no longer will honor the lower UK exchange rates.

Steve, is that something you can check on? If so you might want to consider removing them from your post as a suggested place to book from?

Mark do you know if this is true for all uk sites? We live in Us and have been buying from kenwoodtravel last couple years with no issues. In Jamaica we were told they would make us pay difference in dollars if we booked through Uk site. I am wondering if TTR is doing this? Kenwoodtravel has been cheaper for us than alpha room prices.

Yeah, Kenwood is showing a rate of around $150/night for the end of May...

Would love to confirm we can book with them and not have issues upon arrival.

If you have booked via a UK or Eurozone online agency(at discounted rates in pounds or Euros) Hedo has the policy that unless you can show them a UK or Eurozone passport at check in, they will charge you the difference in amount to the posted USD rate (that, or they refuse to check you in....)

I wouldn't be surprised if Original Resorts and other Mexican resorts started doing the same at some point in time

If they don't want their repeat customers back they should just say so .

I don't understand the whole idea of promoting the resort at significantly cheaper rates in other countries...don't they like customers from the US or Canada? Or do they think we have more disposable income to spend?
