We have been many times and really like TTR. I'd never pay full price for a membership, but we have come across someone selling their contract for less than half of what they paid. I know it's probably still not a great deal but it seems that it could be a good deal considering the cost:

$4000 is what he will sell it for.

-149 nights of his original 175 nights are left
-All inclusive price is $63/high season, $31/low season (2012 prices, I'm sure they are more now)
-2 referral weeks to give out per year
-1 free all inclusive week per year (last page of contract, I need to verify this but if this is true it could be worth the cost alone).

    Thoughts?

I am not sure if you will get many responses on this posts here. Not to be the forum rule Nazi, but Steve has asked not to talk about this stuff publicly. Once it is allowed to buy, sell, and advertise membership related stuff, the whole forum will take a turn for the worse.

Yeah I did see that in the stickies, but I'm not looking to buy/sell anything or offering Referrals. Just looking for feedback from those that may already be members so I hope he'll allow it. I know there are a ton of TTR fans here, so I figured I'd get the best feedback here.

If he doesn't allow it, I'll be OK with that.

There is also a room fee to add to the AI fee people have quoted 140 to 180usd total per night per room based on double occupancy

The free week is ''ussually'' a 1 time signing bonus

a lot of different contracts , best to see it , and sak about transfer fees .

The more you go during sold out times , ie NYE,, the more economical sense it makes,, will vary with your needs.

    Do the math

This is not someone selling Referrals ,, just wanting info,, as long a no-one jumps on here trying to sell their Referrals or membership it should be fine.

    Talk to me about!!!

Kidding Donald, Steve's rules make sense to keep this place from becoming a billboard of spam.

And yes you're right the actual cost per night is higher than what was posted, though not quite as much as you said, I think my rate ends up being about 115/night as a single during high times and it would be about 130 or 140 if I had a SO with me.

I think that the math anyone looking to buy a timeshare is applicable on a case by case basis. When and how you travel will play into what the best decision is.

At the end of the day as long as we can all get there one way or the other it's all good right?

I understood once he explained in his second post. I'll just stay cyber enforcing moving forward, never really been my cup of tea anyway.

On our last trip (May 2015) room / AI fee was $140 USD per night for both of us. Let say if you save an average of $40 per night compared to other travel sites and you get that 149 nights for $4K the math looks pretty good. A lot of trips though; 21 if you only do 7 nights.
