We are booking for our first visit in May. Reading other posts about the vibe of the place. Looking for any comments on pool volleyball or tequila volleyball. What other things are a bit on the sexy side to participate in? Is there music and dancing as part of the entertainment? What Vodka do they have at the bar?
There are activities by the pool all day. Sexy(?) not really much in terms of risque activity at least when we were there though. There is music playing all day long. As far as vodka, I can't recall if they have the higher end stuff or just the well vodka.
was at GP 2 years ago, i think they serve the plain jane vodka will let ya know when we get back jan 23rd...as far as games not many,great beach vollyball beside the giant hottub thats never hot,no real great nite life there unless u get a good crowd, my wife always dressed hot everynight, we always found fun
We had a great time there last year. Bring an insulated mug for your drinks. Their cups are small and cheap. It's smaller than most places, but that was fine with us. Beach is spectacular! Food was fine. We don't go to all inclusives in Mexico for their "fine dining" Outside bar was great at night. Rooms were fine. We don't spend a lot of time in our room. Biggest disappointment was they had the old key safes instead of the "code safes". The key is just another thing to keep track of and not lose. Anybody know if they've updated the safes?
This will be our fourth trip to the Golden. Let me know if you have any questions. We'll be there May 10-17. Can't wait.
We were planning a trip last year and ended up in Florida. Definately going to cancun in the spring. Looking at March or April. We have been deciding between golden and temptations forever. The more you read, the harder to decide. How would you describe the nightlife there at the golden? Is there any bands or entertainment at all ? What's been your experience there ?
Nightlife at Golden is terrible. You have the lobby bar which is very quiet or the Tiki Bar by the beach. The fun at the Tiki bar all depends on who is there that week so it is hit or miss. Also the "fun" is talking to the other hotel guests. Very little to no music, nothing, just talking to other guests. The scene at the Tiki bar is 20-40 people gathered around the bar talking to each other. If that's what you like then you might like this. Versus at TTR big outdoor court yard, music every night, different sexy theme nights every night, in the bar you have a big bar 50-60 people gather around that, people on the dance floor, there are several booths, several tables, a few long seating areas to mingle, buffet and snacks right there, live DJ and/or band, good sound system. There are about 200-300 people there every night, partying it up. On a scale of 1-10 Golden is 1/10 and TTR is 10/10.
