Just found out about this,, don't know if its new but have seen many inquiries on the subject.

By pressing texting ''travel'' to #222 your plan transfers to Mexico for 10$ a day that you use it.

I was told it includes my Data plan too

Maximum of 10 days ??? ( fine print)

If you use your phone only every second day you only get charged for that.

Available only when you have a Share Everything plan and travel to the U.S., Mexico, or eligible countries in Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America.
Pay only for the days when you use your phone in an eligible country.
If you’re roaming in the U.S. for more than 10 days, you still pay for only 10 days.
If you’re roaming in the Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean or Latin America for more than 10 days, you still pay for only 10 days.
Access the data from your Share Everything plan, and your unlimited talk and text will cover you for calls and texts made to both Canadian numbers and local numbers within the country you’re currently visiting.
All other calls and texts will be charged as if you’re making them from Canada.
Once you enroll in Roam Like Home, you're all set for future trips to all eligible countries. Just turn on data roaming in your device settings and you're good to go!

That's what they told us. Have the phone on all day (24hours) and pay $10 a day. With snot flickers at home still have to check in every now and then

HAHAHA... About spit my drink with that one! We sometimes use the term "fun sponges" because they can suck the fun out of anything. Not always, but fully capable at any time.

We've always did the pay for the texts we send don't do anything special other than take our phones. It's three texts all week "we got here safe" midweek it's "we're still alive and having fun" and then it's "we're on our way to the airport see you soon" I think it was like $0.75 for an out going text and $0.50 for incoming all I know is we checked the rates out to use the phone down there compared to just sending the texts and we were still cheaper doing it this way. I mean I'm on holidays and there's nothing that can't wait until I get back. And if something were to happen to the house don't tell me I'm in Mexico and can't do a thing about it so I'll deal with it when I get back. I put my phone away as I want to relax and do nothing more than spend time with her.

And the kids have been with grandparents or exes for our trips and if they can't look after the kids for a week than I'll have to find a more qualified person. Luckily the youngest is 18 has a good head on his shoulders and they all know not to have outrageous parties, for one they don't want to face dad when he gets back and somethings broke and two the neighbourhood has a lot of elderly retired people in it that have nothing better to do than mind everyone else's business.
