Boobs Cruise October 13th possible refund due to not getting full experience ??? ....

    Steve said it perfectly. I've been to several outdoor concerts in the rain. I remember being drenched and freezing last time I saw Aerosmith and still stayed for the whole show.

    Sometimes you've gotta take the good and the bad.

    Speaking of the "other cruise". Our group kind-of sort-of got tricked into that as well. We knew it wasn't the Boobs Cruise (all off already have been on that many times), but we didn't even know we were getting on a booze cruise. We were just trying to get a boat to Isla.

    Anyway it is a long funny story, and I told Steve I would do a write-up about the whole experience.

    This date was one of the rare cruises we missed due to being away for the weekend so I'm not sure how bad the weather was, it sounded pretty grim.

    Our bad weather policy is:
    -If the coastguard says it's too dangerous to go out then we don't, and everyone gets refunded.
    - If it is safe but not good weather we still go if the majority of people want to go. On this occasion we had 53 decide to go and only 6 didn't show up.
    - If it is safe to go but the majority decide they don't want to go then we don't go and everyone is refunded.

    Obviously we can't control the weather but if we run, regardless of weather conditions, there is still staff to pay, alcohol and food consumed, the boat still burns gas and the costs incurred are the same as if the sun were shining. Therefore we don't give refunds after a cruise has gone ahead. There is always the opportunity to bail at check in, and not have to pay the balance payment.

    It's unfortunate when the weather is bad and it can affect people's enjoyment but there isn't much we can do about it. The analogy above of an outdoor concert is a good one. I also wonder if folks would be seeking a refund from the hotel and airline for not receiving a full vacation experience due to bad weather?

    Sorry you didn't have the experience you were hoping for sucks when you read about the past trips and how everyone else's trip went but like Scuba Steve said "you pays your money and you takes your chances." Hopefully you were on the Boobs Cruise and not one of the many other booze cruises they have there in Cancun. Hopefully the next time out you get better weather as October weather can blow in and out real quick. To quote Jimmy Buffett " You just can't reason with the hurricane season. "

    And thought I read the policy about the weather and cancellations on a post awhile back. Might be an idea to have a Sticky up at the top of the page before the dates of the cruises stating the policies of the Boobs Cruise around cancellations and what's required in the forms of payments how much of a deposit, final payments that way it's always there and no one can say oh I missed that just an idea.
