Guaranteed Rates Ect Etc We are Premiere Members and are going Xmas thru New Years this time around, our contract for the room was exactly what the contract states it must be. The all inclusive fee (food & drink) did up quite a bit. If you read your contract closely it CAN potentially go up based upon the Mexican equivalent of the "consumer price index of mexico". I'm Rainman when it comes to numbers and calculations and I did my research to find the AI fee went up slightly more than did the CPI for the same time frame, but it didn't amount to enough to push the issue. The biggest increase (which is legit) is the change in the Mexican Hotel Tax which is now 19% (up from 14% in 2011). And unfortunately we have no say in that one unless you become a Mexican citizen and start voting ! They will feel the pain when people fight back by not visiting Cancun perhaps.
if its too good to be true....... just bought some USD,s today $1,33.8 ,,, ouch that makes a 210 @ night room 280.98 cdn. But on the bright side ,, I didn't need a gun to take my money home.. Theses days I bring more Peso,s then USD.
Convert to pesos instead of the U.S. Dollars. We bring some U.S. But mostly pesos nowadays. We went to Oklahoma last weekend and for 600.00 U.S. Only got 440.00. Our dollar went up today to a whole .77 cents. Whohoo.
Booked WE BOOKED 11 NIGHTS APR 17 TO 28TH $3800 ALL IN CDN! NOT GREAT BUT BEST I CAN FIND ON EXPEDIA.CA :huepfen021:
We used this company last time to obtain Peso's and found their rate better than the bank. They have locations at most of the larger Canadian airports. ICE - International Currency Exchange
I have used the Kiosks in the mall , and they had posted rates plus a very small percent.,, this year they only had large bills,so , TD bank ordered exactly what I wanted. (peso,s)
I was shocked that the US Dollar vs Peso exchange had increased. Oh my, $1 US Dollar equals 16.54 Mexican Pesos ! I don't think I can recall it ever being that high. Ang
