I was wondering if anyone else would be willing to help me out with this ... and normally I am not the type to complain about anything ... but if anyone was on the Boobs Cruise with us on the 13th I just feel that for the $92 per person that was spent we certainly didnt get the full experience posible due to the extremely rainy and stromy and windy conditions we encountered ... The weather was horrible to begin with at check in at TTR and felt that it was a very risky idea to even go out that morning but we were assured when paying that the weather was going to hold up and be fine ...

after we boarded it was NON STOP rain from beginning to end and extremley heavy at points that was freezing cold for a good portion of the trip and encountered very high waves causing motion sickness that were crashing over the front of the boat and having people stumbling all over the deck and each other to a point that we almost lost one of our party goers over the edge of the boat ( Jack the newlywed) in the process and because of the rain there was no snorkelling or no skinny dipping ... basically it took three hours to get to the island for Lunch because of the rain we had lunch and came home with everyone shivering and huddled under the roof for warmth ... some even took the ferry home from the Island because they didnt want to go back out an encounter the waves to go back ...

so what I am asking here is there anyone I can talk to about receiving a refund or at the very least a partial one for this trip as technically we paid almost 200 dollars for some drinks and a buffet lunch in the pouring rain and if there is anyone willing to help back me up on this cause I dont want to look like the sole person who had issues ... I agree that the crew did a great job of trying to keep people upbeat and having fun but just feel we werent given fully what we paid for is all

    thank you

Next time do not buy your tickets until the day of the event. and good luck with that.

I understand what you are saying. First cruise we ever went on, was very rough!! luckily no rain. Couple of years ago we decided not to go because of how bad the weather looked, and sure enough it cleared up and was sunny!!! Steve cannot predict the weather, and it usually does clear up for a great cruise. cancun weather!!!! So as I understand your feelings, I don't believe a refund is in order. But when you book again, and before you finish paying, if the weather is iffy, don't go. Sorry you didn't have the experience you were hoping for.

Think you have the wrong day, as we were there on the 13th and there was no cruise that day (maybe 16th?). We had a cruise like that last year too, we just carried on drinking and partied in the rain!

I wasn't there, but this post has all the October Boobs Cruise dates and Wakey is correct, there wasn't one listed for the 13th

    http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/tem...-october-boobs-cruise-dates-announcement.html

And this is the specific post for the cruise on the 16th http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/tem...obs-cruise-friday-16th-october-confirmed.html

    refund Policy
Full refunds of your deposit will be honored in the following circumstances:
Adverse weather conditions causing the cruise to be cancelled (as determined by the Cancun coastguard)
Failure to reach sufficient numbers of paid deposits for the cruise to go ahead.
Written request to cancel via email to steve@cancuncare.com or via forum PM a minimum of 48 hrs before scheduled cruise departure.
Cancellation of the cruise for any other reason as determined by cancuncare.com

Looks like you're out of luck, hopefully your next trip is better.

Not sure how a refund would improve the experience anyway.

Our first Boobs Cruise on 09\30 it was poring rain and to this day I don't remember very much except I ended up back at TTR wearing a green borat so I must of had a GREAT time. After reviewing the pictures taken there was a significant lapse in time between what I was wearing starting the cruise to what I ended up in.

We were booked to be on that cruise last year as well. I watched the weather, and cancelled a couple of days in advance, and got a full refund. We were at the GP, and the weather looked absolutely terrible, and we were glad we didn't go.

I don't see how Steve could run his business any other way. You can't be letting people change their minds at the last minute, it would mess up scheduling. It's just bad luck, and maybe a bad decision.

The boat still cruised and the staff still worked. If charging was based on experience had, I would have owed more than the standard fee after docking. It sucks, but this a business we all love and must support. The return rules are in place

If you buy a ticket to an outdoor concert, most tickets will say "Rain or Shine". If the entire show is canned, then they will reschedule or refund. If the band plays, then the concert is technically on, so you you wouldn't get a refund. (this is pretty much the same policy as the Boobs Cruise).

I have been to some concerts that have been terrible. You stay for some songs, try to stay out of pouring rain for others, and it is what it is. You know going into it that you aren't getting a dime back, regardless of your experience.

Also, it has come down to a day when I have had concert tickets, looked outside, and said "No way I am going to this one, I don't like the band that much". So we don't go, and are completely out the cash. But, you do have the complete opposite, at Pearl Jam one year I couldn't care less it was raining all day. I never sheltered from the rain, stop caring at some point, turned into a "mud person", and had a great experience.

It all comes down to what you are willing to tolerate, depending on how much you like the activity you are participating in. So in the case of the Boobs Cruise, one person my have a blast in the rain all day, someone else might not. Almost seems impossible to govern that. So as a business owner, one would have to stick to some sort of posted policy, that doesn't leave room for interpretation.
