I was sorting through a pile of stuff on my desk and ran across our Premier contract, and read through it some. Our contract includes a Free All Inclusive Week Addendum that I had forgot about, and had not been taking advantage of for 2013 or 2014. My advice is to read through your contact to see if you may have negotiated any features that you are not taking advantage of. The rum/vodka at the Premier room is pretty good, and definitely affects memory.

    Man that sucks.
    Could've been auctioned.
    Would've been great bidding action..

Yep, but I think you have to pay off 50% of your contract before you can use the free week. The week is completely free. I figured they would be shady and try charging the AI fee.

No kidding, or I could have had another $980 to use for bidding on one of the items that we would have liked to have. I cannot believe that i missed out on this for two years. I guess that I can't use this for a Christmas/NYE trip, but certainly can for most of the rest of the year.

Having 50% or more of our contract paid off is not an issue. I am waiting to hear from Antonio to make sure that I can use this for our November trip.

I don't think you've been "missing out" on this... isn't the addendum a free week (or more weeks) over the the course of your entire contract (ie. 25+ years), and not a free week each year?

I think that I was pretty optimistic in reading the addendum, and now realize that it was just one free week that I have already used. So much for thinking that we get a free week every year. Who wouldn't sign up for that.

I believe they lost my contract in the 2005 hurricane, I have to argue with them every time I make a reservation. EX: Our contract states that's we get any room type of our choice in the resort, we just pay the min all inclusive fee. No where in our contract does it say we pay more all inclusive fee for garden, ocean, Jacuzzi etc. So each time when we arrive at resort I have to carry my contract and show them this, and they have to scramble to get the room we requested. We are one of the very first to become Premier members 15 years ago. My advice to carry contract each time you visit and make sure they honor all aspects of contract.

I think (If I remember correctly), it's based on how much of your contract you have paid off. For example, if you've paid off 72% of your contract, you've earned 5 free nights. Once you have paid it off, you can get the entire 7 days free.

We received two free weeks when we joined two years ago and did not used them. We called last week since we wish to use one of the free weeks and they were more then happy to get us all set up for a free week. We paid for our entire contract upfront. I have NO idea of this has anything to do with the ease or not? Be in Cancun Jan 16-23.

I can confirm that it is just 50% paid, to get the free week. I upgraded from their 'trial 5 year membership' (which they don't do anymore) in May of this year and went ahead and paid 50% of it upfront (so that there was 0% financing on the remaining 50%). And I just used my free week last week when I was there. :D
