I just look forward to the whole damn election being over. No idea how our American friends can go through what is essentially an endless election cycle!
truly believe all politicians are crooks , and usually don't think it matters which crook/thief gets in ,,( liberals tend to win in good times , and PC tend to bail the country out in bad times ),,, but this Trudeau kid will be an embarrassment ,, can just see him now talking to some foreign dignitary , puffing away on his legal joint,, about his up coming boxing match and calendar photo shoot .
As a member of the oil and gas and mining community I fear for our future. As we all agree big industry is a problem they also are our solution. When they make money so does Canada. I have worked I Alberta for a long time and I am lucky to still be there. Can't say that for everyone and I fear that if this election goes the wrong way none of us will be left there working. Time to start growing weed I guess.
You and me both brother. 20 months of countless wind bags on TV telling everyone how horrible the place is being run and how bad things are out there is the surest way to see the Stock Market tank which basically then becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. It's the system we've got and it seems to have worked pretty well for a couple hundred years. I am just not sure it can survive the Facebook/Tabloid/24 hour "news" generation. We always watch your elections with a fair amount of interest as what happens on the other side of the River has a huge effect on those of us in Western NY. My limited knowledge of the Canadian Election makes me think that your choices are similar to trying to pick between Jeb Bush, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. That would pretty much seem to boil down to the lesser of evils and I'm not sure who should win that contest. Hey, if you guys screw up in Canada we won't have anywhere to move if Bernie gets elected! :cry:
