Ok so we are all booked for April 24 till May 1. We were super excited till reading some of the recent comments. A lot of people are talking about how run down the hotel is and how they felt dirty and the place is a dump. I need truths is it really that bad? I see its a lot of guests that have been several times. I get you go for the atmosphere but really who wants to stay somewhere they feel dirty? I am not a snob by any means but did have a extremely bad experience years ago and don't want to repeat that. Help want serious thoughts.
It has its issues but dont let that scare you off. It is still a blast! How often do you hear people say "what a dump" and "we just booked our 10th trip in 3 years" about a place to stay.
We have been several times. I would not call the hotel dirty. Does it need updating....yes. we have been to at least 4 other resorts in Cancun, some being family resorts, so I'm just comparing TTR to them. My husband and I were a little dissapointed with our first room....felt like a Red Roof Inn...but switched after first night and felt a lot better. I will stay we're used to staying in much nicer resorts or hotels BUT this was the most fun trip of our lives!! I never felt things were dirty. The food was actually very good...right up there with 5 other resorts we've been to in mexico. Don't worry....u won't want to leave by the end of it!! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
We have been 4 times and have a 5th trip booked. We have stayed at 6 other all inclusive resorts. Temptation is the only one we have stayed at more than once. Of all the resorts we have stayed at Temptation is the oldest most run down. But the service is above average, the food is average compared to the other resorts we have stayed at, and it has been clean when we have been there. But like you said we go for the atmosphere. We have never stayed anywhere that even came close to as fun.
We've been three times and have never seen an issue with cleanliness. The hotel is older and the rooms are comparable to a mid range chain hotel in the states. The price is substantially less than other AIC resorts. The food is fair, the service very good, and the atmosphere is what brings people back. At most AICs the entertainment is over by 10. Just another note, it's annoying how people on other travel web sites pay for 3 star accommodations and complain they don't get a5 star resort. TTR is a 3 star facility with a 5 star party and service.
I wouldn't say cleanliness is a problem. Our room/common area have always be clean...its just run down. Don't worry about it. Titties and beer can fix a little broken tile here and there It's my favourite place ever! Nikki
We were at the TTR last year in the jacuzzi room. In my opinion this is the best room in the hotel! It's bigger than a garden room,and it's on the ground floor with jacuzzi ! We're going in December for the second time to jacuzzi room !!! As for the rooms, yes, it is clean 3 stars hotel rooms with erotic red lamps
