So I will be there the 17th - 24th and noticed it shows thunderstorms and heavy rain the first 3 days or so. I have also read to not read into the weather reports to much. So curious if someone that is down there currently could update this on the conditions. Sounds like tomorrow may be the start of the rain, hoping not. Thanks,
We were down there a few days ago and the weather report called for 80% rain and evening thunderstorms. It sprinkled one day for like 5 minutes and rained for maybe 10 minutes one night while we were at PatyOs. Other than that it was beautiful. Don't pay attention to the reports. if day drinking in Cancun is alright then you know for sure night drinking in Cancun will be something as well especially on white night or lingerie night. Who am I kidding on any night. We were there in October of 2011 I think it was and there was a hurricane approaching it got downgraded to a tropical storm by the time it came across and we had beautiful weather up until the day it was going to make landfall that day it was super overcast as you'd expect it rained and rained and rained. The staff kept us entertained the bars kept everyone well lubricated and we had a blast. Our flight back home got cancelled so we had a couple extra days tacked on and the day after the storm was bright and sunny. So we missed a day at the pool due to a storm the party kept up though. We had another trip where it showed rain all week and it did 15 to 20 minutes a day the one day we missed it cause we went to grab a bite to eat. So stop reading to much into weather reports and go have a good time. You'll either be partying in sun or dancing in some rain either way you'll have a blast.
