Soooo... I've been following these boards for a little while now and taking in all the info. My husband and i are coming Nov 21~28 for our first time to Temptations! Ive gone over all the theme nights for the week!! FUN FUN! I am getting so nervous about the whole vacation now...LOL I have never been to topless resort... The theme nights sound like a lot of fun and i have ordered the clothes to go along with them (way out of my comfort zone):wink3: Couple newbie questions... ~~I assume during the day its bikini bottoms and topless around pool... but for dinner what does everyone wear? ~~When does everyone change for theme night? ~~If my husband doesn't want to wear something pertaining to each theme night what is the attire at the bar for the theme night for men? ~~What is the attire for men for dinner? All of the unknown is driving me crazy! hahahaha I can't wait to just get there already!!!! I know we are going to have a blast!! Thanks in advance!!!!
Nothing to be nervous about. We had our concerns as well prior to first trip. It is all the party you want but also all the relaxing you want. Nobody was too pushy, just be prepared to push your own limits and have fun. Day at the pool...yes many are topless, several wear thongs, some wear a string that passes as a bottom. Sexy for dinner, dress to impress (each other). Pending the night you can tie dinner attire in with the theme (Red night/White night). Tell him to take things for the themes, it is fun to dress for them but if he chooses not to no big deal, but have the options available. Otherwise, dinner was slacks or dress shorts with closed toe shoes and a nice button down shirt. Check out albums we have pictures from most nights and themes. Relax and have fun!
Your totally normal. Excitement partnered with a healthy dose of what did we get ourselves into!!! The answer is for most, the best time of your life. Check out my review from last December and it should help calm your nerves (maybe). We go twice a year now and live it! To answer your questions specifically: Bottoms and told optional (when and if your ready. Ditch it and stretch your comfort zone). You'll be surprised how normal it is. For dinner it ranges from business casual to casual. We change into theme outfits after dinner. Encourage your husband to participate in the themes. He'll be glad he did (hint hint) PM us if you have any other questions. We'll be glad to help put your mind at ease. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
1, Just so were straight during the day theres no bottoms allowed 2. Dinner is the traditional gladiator meal with spartan death fights for initial stimulus moved to a rave orgy type dance were all the the kids drink the Bill Cosby punch...... 3. Your husband is forced to participate or flogged into submission. 4. Dinner attire for men is more based of Katelyn Jenner fashion but before he made the change so no tucking or taping is needed. Now that should make you feel plenty relaxed so go enjoy!!! Come on that was funny .........No......Anyone.........:aktion033: Go party your asses off try to meet everyone and get involved with whatever you feel comfortable doing. One more thing drink the green drink at breakfast 2 glasses cure the hangover.
My husband and I are going in april for the first time. He counting the days im nervous. Very out of ordinary trip for us. But if everyone is as nice there as they are on here you will have a blast.
I know your nervous but try and relax ...take a step back and take it all in slowly. You will want to become part of the party atmosphere almost instantly. When you are reay...take your top off....if you are never ready...that is okay too. I think anyone on this forum will tell you that it's about you as a couple. Please each other...you are the ONLY two that really matter. Do what you feel comfortable with....then stretch a little further. I always say that to the couples that are kind of stuck on the chairs. You can either sit there and watch....OR..make the memories of a life time. Coming here gives you the opportunity to do the crazy sh#$ that you can't get away with at home for fear that you will be judged. Here...as you know....nobody knows you and nobody gives a shit. Another thing most of the men will admit to is that TTR is all about the women. Especially when it comes to theme nights. It's about what SHE's wearing. Some of the guys like to participate (makes it that much more fun) but if they don't it's okay. Make sure you are watching him watch you. We usually dress in sexy normal clothing and change to theme clothing when we hit Paty O''s. Whatever you do.....I am sure that you will leave you will have a whole new group of friends from everywhere around the world and you will probably want to book your next trip as soon as you get home. Then you are waiting waiting waiting....like the rest of us crazy people and that's why this forum is here...to entertain us until we return to TTR. (Again...my 2 cents.)
We went for our first trip this August. Someone told us "pack something you know you will wear, pack something that you may wear, and pack something that you think you will never wear." Then you have all bases covered! You will be surprised where your comfort level is after a couple of days. We had a great first trip and are going back for New Years. My wife is on the plus size and not one time did she feel out of place or that she was being judged for her size. Like many ladies, she said I'll go, but I'm not going to go topless. That lasted half the first day. The trip is what you make of it. Nobody pressures you, there aren't groups of guys drooling and waiting to pounce on unsuspecting women (at least not when we were there). You are in complete control of your vacation. You can sit back and live vicariously by watching others if you like, OR you can get out of your comfort zone, not worry what other people are thinking and just have a great time. When we went about 50% of the pool was topless. For dinner, most ladies were dressed nicely and guys were in pants and nice shirts. I bring dress clothes for dinner so I don't look like a slob sitting next to my wife who meticulously prepared herself to look her best for dinner. For theme nights, during the week we were there Aug 16-21, we saw no participation in themes. We had outfits for each night but with the lack of participation, we only chose to participate in lingerie night and men have to participate to get into Nice Shoes for that event. For late night Paty-O's you can wear whatever you like. There are people in vacation attire (shorts and t-shirts), people dressed sexy, and people dressed nicely. We hope that during new years there will be more theme participation and we will be in theme attire for late nights at Paty'Os. Don't be nervous. There is no need. You will feel welcomed, everyone is friendly and you are in control of your vacation. And if it helps, it could have been just the week we attended, but my wife and I thought the place was much tamer then what we were expecting after reading all the stories on the forums. I think many of the stories you read may be the highlights and not necessarily the norm. And like Donald said, don't forget to bring your Orange Cancuncare "bubba mugs. Not only do they keep your drinks cold, but they are also great conversation starters as other Cancuncare members will recognize them and say hi.
I would encourage your husband to participate! I (John) have had a great time getting into the themes with Stephanie, and it makes it a little more fun for her too. We were there last December (and will be this December again) and we'll be dressing for the themes each night. It's all part of the fun, and besides, Stephie looks GREAT dressed in a sexy red Santa's helper outfit. The advice to get a big, bubba mug early is also a very good idea too.
THANK YOU ALL SOOOO MUCH!!! All the answers were great and has helped me to better prepare!!! Cannot wait to get there.....
