I hoping someone has some advice for me. My husband and I were scheduled to be at Temptation from Oct. 15th-22nd. Unfortunately, my 36 year old perfectly healthy husband had a large stroke Friday morning. He is doing better but there is no way we will be able to travel so soon. We booked through Cheap Caribbean, anyone have any advice on being able to rebook without penalty or get a refund without penalty? I am heart broken over the entire situation.
Very sorry to hear about your situation. And I hope your husband is doing better. Maybe because it is medical Cheap Caribbean will be able to work something switch around for you at a fee. If you didn't buy the extra insurance, I doubt you can get your money back. Good luck though, sorry I could not be of more help.
Worst case look at your details of your trip. We ended up booking through Bookit and ours stated that if we needed to cancel we would lose one night of the room fee. The flight fee would be forfeited. We opted for the trip insurance just in case. I hope your husband recovers well and that you all can enjoy your trip soon. Good luck Shaun
You can purchase trip insurance up until the day before you leave, I beleieve. We bought ours last Thursday because I was having surgery rhe next day and we leave his Friday. We wanted to make sure we could get all our money back in case there were some issues with recovery. Thankfully everything has been good. I will ask my husband where he got the insurance. I believe it was under $200.
If you paid with a premium credit card you may have insurance on that. call quick because time is a factor in the size of refund you will get. hotel costs are a lot more friendly at refunds then airline tickets. Hope he has a speedy recovery,,and your booking problems get resolved quickly . ♥
Bad info from you Donald. Our policy actually said it covered pre existing issues. Thanks for assuming you knew what our policy covered.
