Attention: New Dress Code Policy for Reservation Restaurants

I think what has changed is that now "officially" it has been posted that dress shorts are allowed(which they worded in way saying what isn't allowed, instead of saying what is allowed). The officially policy has changed from the "only pants" (that some people always obliged to) to now officially allowing shorts not dubbed as "sport shorts".

Then the normal debate has spun off of the original posting on whether you SHOULD or SHOULDN'T wear shorts at a nice restaurant.

 

Oh and with legs like these they normally ask me to take my pants off when entering the restaurant.

 

I'm not sure you can compare motorboatin' vodka gummies of a nice rack at the sexy pool where basically there are no rules other than no sex and limited nudity to wearing respectable clothes to a nice restaurant . Like others have said TTR management has drawn a line which they (and others) feel is fair . These are the rules for the reservation restaurants
If you don't want to show respect for the staff , other guests ,your dinner partners and yourself then ,.........the Buffet is open .
It has nothing to do with morality , would you show up to classy restaurant at home in a wife beater flip flops and board shorts ..... No coz they would turn you away .

 

And don't worry all you lovers of the long pants, they still wouldn't let me and my buddy into ANY of the restaurants wearing only our thongs (and he was wearing a unicorn mask). And believe me, we tried every restaurant (even the buffet). Thank God they still have some standards.

I really see nothing wrong with nice dress shorts for men. coupled with dress shirt and shoes, great. Everyone always has different preferances, but that to me is what makes TTR. But to see a couple of guys stroll in wearing sloppy shirts and beach shorts, well not so good. but I don't pay attention to them, im with my hubby having our dinner. how they dress or don't dress wont spoil my meal.

 

I'm old school. I still enjoy wearing dress slacks and a nice shirt for a la carte dinners with my wife. We like to have a little class for dinner. Afterwards we can throw our classy dress under a Mexican taxi and get on with naughtiness and general debauchery

Well if that sign is the official sign, then I don't know how anyone would read it to believe management says pants are required? Which seems to be the debate. I can't imagine dress shorts at that offensive.

I'll be looking for the sign that says, "nobody knows you, but they do give a shit about what's covering your legs at dinner"

 

I usually wear long pants and dress shirts to dinner on our trips. But I see the other side also. One time we were eating at the Italian restaurant and it was so hot in there with long pants and a dress shirt I had sweat dripping down my face. We had to end dinner early because I thought I was going to pass out. The wife said, "If I'm hot, I know you must be roasting" since she is usually cold when I am comfortable. The ladies outfits are usually much more breathable, i.e. tiny little dresses.
