Good morning you guys we get there on Sunday morning for the first time we will be using a referral I was told we get better rooms because of this but we have always been accommodated right across from patios is there any recommendation to what these better rooms are what I should ask for? You want to experience the full perk of a membership before deciding if we should join or not but want to know which are their best rooms and what they look like
Actually the room we were offered on a referral week was worse than normal. I think it all depends on availability at the time. I think rooms facing the sexy pool are normal for members, I'm just not sure if you get that perk on a referral week.
My understanding is that you are supposed to get the same room type as the referral you are using. So if they had an ocean view, you would get that. But I don't really think that this happens. It really seems to be based on availability at the time when you are checking in. There aren't rooms that have been updated, and considered the "better" member rooms. All rooms in all areas are basically the same. They do have different layouts and bathroom sizes, but that is different all over just based on where the room is situated in the building your in. There is a block of buildings called the 3000s. These are right by the sexy pool, and normally actual members are put in here first. I have heard of some Referrals in there, but I think that is less common and again based on availability. My suggestion is to ask to see the room before you take it. Then you can make sure it is to your liking. Again based on availability they might give you choice. Just ask to be away from PatyOs if that isn't your thing.
There are categories of rooms that this friend of yours has paid for such as ocean view, garden view, they may get an upgrade on availability as well when they go. But they will never be put in a room below what they've made the agreement on. And neither will their guests. It's bad business to send a referral to the so called worst rooms because of two things 1) they hope that you as the person on the referral will like the place and by in. 2) they want to keep the member happy because if your friend gets treated like crap the chance of you purchasing additional time there is going to be slim.
rooms We asked to see a couple of rooms before we decided on one. They are very accommodating and ended up with a great view of the quiet pool and partial ocean view. Requested the same room for our stay in Feb.
That's where we were the last time on the 2nd floor, and we liked it a lot. 1st time we stayed we had a ground floor unit with a patio that was close to the sexy pool, that was our favorite:aktion069:
