Departure tax to the UK

Just a quick update for you Brits. We've just returned from Desire, and this trip, for the first time ever, we didn't have to pay departure tax travelling with Thomas Cook (we had to in April this year).
Although it appeared they were still collecting it in the Thompson check-in queue. £90 extra in our pockets!

Well it's certainly about time this occurred. I remember having a conversation about this matter awhile ago in a different thread with you. It's nice isn't it you pay at the time of booking and don't have to think about it as you leave the resort. If you're like me you've tucked money away in a safe place for an emergency and then as you go to leave you tear the luggage apart quickly as you can't remember the location of said safe spot after all the fun you've had.
