So I am checking the weather for our trip and it shows nothing but thunderstorms for the next two weeks?!?!??

For those who have gone before during this time:

Is it like Florida rain where it will rain every day for like an hour and then dry up or are we really looking at downpours all day every day of our vacation??? :ranting1::ranting1:

We arrive 10-3 and leave 10-9

We were there 2 weeks ago. The forecast while we there was at least a 40% chance of rain everyday. Out of our 7 days it rained for about an hour one morning

That is the normal forecast down there. Don't pay attention unless they say a hurricane is coming.

So, you're at TTR, drinking, having fun, hanging out at the pool. You're wet. It rains. You're still wet. The only time we went where the rain put a damper on activities, was when it rained in the early evening, at Paty O's. But after an hour or so, it quit. We used that time to go eat, and the party continued! If it does rain long enough to slow the fun to a crawl, there are always "inside" activities, both personal and resort supplied. You'll have fun no matter the weather!!

We were there in October our first trip and we did the same thing checked out the weather prior to going. Man we were a little bummed sitting at the airport cause it showed rain, more rain oh did I mention rain for the whole trip. We thought great paid all this money and we're going to be rained out. We got there and there were white fluffy clouds all over the place and the sun was shining right through them the weather was gorgeous all week long except for the Wednesday it was overcast. There was a hurricane slowly approaching but the talk was that it wouldn't come across until the Friday and we were leaving on the Thursday to come home well the information we got was slightly wrong it came across on the Wednesday night by this time it had been downgraded to tropical storm status. We partied long into the night the staff was great kept everyone happy the party going, we woke up Thursday morning to find our flight back home was cancelled a bright sunny day and that we were extended that day Friday and finally got told we'd be getting a flight home on the Saturday, by this time we were ready to head home see the kids and sleep in our own bed. I was in contact with the tour rep at the hotel and I asked what time the flight home would be and he looked at me and said senor your flight out will be at 11, I said great 11 works for me we'll be home to be able to have dinner with the kids, and that's when he said oh no senor 11 o'clock tonight. Well we got to the airport the flight back home was delayed as they were late leaving Toronto so we got to nap in those comfortable chairs at the airport and didn't depart Cancun until 2am.
Having told that story was in no way meant to scare anyone off as we've been part of the Mid-October Wedgie's group as they call themselves several times now, and the weather has always been beautiful.
