Morning/Afternoon all (depending where you all are in the world!) I apologise if this has been covered before, but I've been trawling through the forums and haven't seen a definitive answer. Has anyone paid for the resort WiFi on an I-phone, and then tethered it to their I-Pad or Macbook to get round the 1 device per registration problem? I would think it would work fine as you're just using the phone's wifi connection, but didn't want to risk being permanently stuck with the small screen if it goes tits up! Thanks in advance :icon_cool:
I would guess that the access is controlled by the MAC address of the device which would not be masked by using a local VPN as you suggest but that's just a semi educated guess.
Was a thread a while ago where someone had success with their phone connected to the resorts WiFi and then tethering via Bluetooth their other devices. http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/temptation-resort-cancun/33169-hotel-wifi-phone-hotspot.html I'm planning to take my HooToo in October.
I hope the ladies all bring their HooToo's as well .TTR wouldn't be TTR without lots of HooToo's on display . ..:aktion069::icon_cool::lotsofmichaelfs:
We have access to the Wi-Fi as we're members and have yet to take advantage of it...as for our phones we send exactly 3 texts one on arrival, one midweek to check in and one to say we're coming home the rest of the time we don't touch them...it maybe a little old school but when we get to the resort we like to unplug from the outside world and enjoy each others company and the good times at the resort.... I told her if I was ever on Facebook and needed to update things then she had my permission to bludgeon me.
Well said couldn't agree more . Your on vacation leave the devices alone except for pictures. But please don't hide the Hoo-too's
Completely agree, we put our phones in the safe on the first day and they only come out for charging the day before we leave.
